He rebukes the sea and dries it up; he makes all the rivers run dry. Bashan and Carmel wither and the blossoms of Lebanon fade.

He controls the seas. He dries them up. He makes all the rivers run dry. Bashan and Mount Carmel dry up. The flowers in Lebanon fade.

大地悲哀衰残，黎巴嫩羞惭枯干；沙仑好像荒原，巴珊和迦密的树木凋零。

因你的斥责，水就退去；因你的雷声，水就奔逃。

大海看见就奔逃，约旦河也倒流。

使海，就是大渊的水干涸，使海的深处变为蒙救赎的人经过之路的，不是你吗？

我对深渊说：‘你干了吧，我必使你的江河干涸！’

为什么我来的时候，没有人在呢？为什么我呼唤的时候，没有人答应呢？难道我的手太软弱不能救赎吗？或是我没有能力拯救吗？看哪！我以斥责使海干涸，我使江河变成旷野，江河的鱼因无水发臭，因干渴而死。我使诸天以黑暗为衣服，以麻布作它们的遮盖。”

耶稣却对他们说：“小信的人哪！为什么害怕呢？”他就起来斥责风和海，风浪就完全平静了。

大海啊！你为什么奔逃？约旦河啊！你为什么倒流？

他说：“耶和华从锡安吼叫，从耶路撒冷发声；牧人的草场因此悲哀，迦密的山顶枯干。

你曾开辟泉源和溪流，又使长流不息的江河干涸。

抬全地之主耶和华约柜的祭司的脚掌一踏进约旦河水里，约旦河的水必被截断，那从上游流下来的水必立起成垒。”人民离开帐棚出发，要过约旦河的时候，抬约柜的祭司在人民的前面。抬约柜的祭司来到约旦河，他们的脚碰到水边的时候（原来约旦河水在收割的日子，常是涨过两岸的），

海中的众水必干透，河床必枯竭干涸。河道必发臭，埃及众河流的水必消退干涸；苇子和芦荻都必枯萎。尼罗河旁、尼罗河口的草田，以及沿着尼罗河所种的田都必枯干，被吹散，不再存在。打鱼的人必哀号；所有在尼罗河上垂钓的必悲伤；那些在水面上撒网的，必灰心难过。那些用梳好的麻来纺纱的，和那些织白布的，都必羞愧。埃及的柱石必被打碎，所有受雇的工人也必心里忧愁。

那创造昴星和参星，把幽暗变为黎明，把白日转为黑夜；又吩咐海水，把海水倒在地上的；耶和华就是他的名。

说：‘你只可到这里，不可越过，你狂傲的波浪要在这里止住。’

我必使江河干涸，把这地卖给恶人；我必藉着外族人的手，使这地和其中所充满的，都变成荒凉。我耶和华已经说了。
