耶和華論敵、發命曰、以爾名而稱者、不復繼傳、雕鑄之像、我將滅於爾神之室、爾乃卑陋、我為爾造墓矣、

耶和華有命、告爾尼尼微王云、爾祚不長、爾上帝之殿、木偶金像、毀之殆盡、爾誠卑鄙、必於斯殞亡、

惟爾尼尼微王、主已命定爾不留後傳名、必自爾神廟中、除滅雕刻之像及鑄像、我已為爾備墓、蓋爾甚為陋劣、

The Lord has given a command concerning you, Nineveh:“ You will have no descendants to bear your name. I will destroy the images and idols that are in the temple of your gods. I will prepare your grave, for you are vile.”

Nineveh, the Lord has given an order concerning you. He has said,“ You will not have any children to carry on your name. I will destroy the wooden and metal statues that are in the temple of your gods. I will get your grave ready for you. You are worthless.”

The Lord has given commandment about you:“ No more shall your name be perpetuated; from the house of your gods I will cut off the carved image and the metal image. I will make your grave, for you are vile.”

And this is what the Lord says concerning the Assyrians in Nineveh:“ You will have no more children to carry on your name. I will destroy all the idols in the temples of your gods. I am preparing a grave for you because you are despicable!”

The LORD has issued an order concerning you: There will be no offspring to carry on your name. I will eliminate the carved idol and cast image from the house of your gods; I will prepare your grave, for you are contemptible.

The Lord has issued a command concerning you:“ Your name will no longer be perpetuated. I will eliminate the carved image and the cast metal image From the house of your gods. I will prepare your grave, For you are contemptible.”

The Lord has given a command concerning you:“ Your name shall be perpetuated no longer. Out of the house of your gods I will cut off the carved image and the molded image. I will dig your grave, For you are vile.”

And Jehovah hath given commandment concerning thee, that no more of thy name be sown: out of the house of thy gods will I cut off the graven image and the molten image; I will make thy grave; for thou art vile.

The LORD has issued a decree against you:“ Your dynasty will come to an end. I will destroy the idols and images in the temples of your gods. I will desecrate your grave– because you are accursed!”

Yahweh has commanded concerning you:“ No more descendants will bear your name. Out of the house of your gods, I will cut off the engraved image and the molten image. I will make your grave, for you are vile.”

May his descendants be cut off, their names blotted out from the next generation. (niv)

The name of the righteous is used in blessings, but the name of the wicked will rot. (niv)

Bel bows down, Nebo stoops low; their idols are borne by beasts of burden. The images that are carried about are burdensome, a burden for the weary.They stoop and bow down together; unable to rescue the burden, they themselves go off into captivity. (niv)

“ Assyria is there with her whole army; she is surrounded by the graves of all her slain, all who have fallen by the sword.Their graves are in the depths of the pit and her army lies around her grave. All who had spread terror in the land of the living are slain, fallen by the sword. (niv)

One day, while he was worshiping in the temple of his god Nisrok, his sons Adrammelek and Sharezer killed him with the sword, and they escaped to the land of Ararat. And Esarhaddon his son succeeded him as king. (niv)

I will destroy your idols and your sacred stones from among you; you will no longer bow down to the work of your hands. (niv)

For I told him that I would judge his family forever because of the sin he knew about; his sons blasphemed God, and he failed to restrain them. (niv)

“ He will be succeeded by a contemptible person who has not been given the honor of royalty. He will invade the kingdom when its people feel secure, and he will seize it through intrigue. (niv)

Be my rock of refuge, to which I can always go; give the command to save me, for you are my rock and my fortress. (niv)

“ On that same night I will pass through Egypt and strike down every firstborn of both people and animals, and I will bring judgment on all the gods of Egypt. I am the Lord. (niv)

you will not join them in burial, for you have destroyed your land and killed your people. Let the offspring of the wicked never be mentioned again.Prepare a place to slaughter his children for the sins of their ancestors; they are not to rise to inherit the land and cover the earth with their cities.“ I will rise up against them,” declares the Lord Almighty.“ I will wipe out Babylon’s name and survivors, her offspring and descendants,” declares the Lord. And the Lord sent an angel, who annihilated all the fighting men and the commanders and officers in the camp of the Assyrian king. So he withdrew to his own land in disgrace. And when he went into the temple of his god, some of his sons, his own flesh and blood, cut him down with the sword. (niv)

A prophecy against Egypt: See, the Lord rides on a swift cloud and is coming to Egypt. The idols of Egypt tremble before him, and the hearts of the Egyptians melt with fear. (niv)

I will destroy your high places, cut down your incense altars and pile your dead bodies on the lifeless forms of your idols, and I will abhor you. (niv)

You who are far away, hear what I have done; you who are near, acknowledge my power! (niv)
