“ Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him if a great millstone were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea.

“但若有人使这样一个小信徒失足犯罪，他的下场比把大磨石挂在他脖子上扔到海里还要惨。

“如果有人使一个信我的小弟兄犯罪，倒不如在他的颈项上拴一块大磨石投在海里。

“无论谁使信我的这些卑微人中的一个绊倒，对那人来说，脖子上拴着大磨石，被丢进海里反而更好。

「凡使這信我的一個小子跌倒的，倒不如把大磨石拴在這人的頸項上，扔在海裏。

「凡使這些信我的小子中的一個跌倒的，倒不如把大磨石拴在這人的頸項上，扔在海裏。

「但若有人使這樣一個小信徒失足犯罪，他的下場比把大磨石掛在他脖子上扔到海裡還要慘。

“如果有人使一個信我的小弟兄犯罪，倒不如在他的頸項上拴一塊大磨石投在海裡。

『凡使這些信的人的微小者之一絆跌的，假使一塊驢牽的磨石掛在他的脖子上，丟在海裏，這對於他倒好呢。

「無論誰使信我的這些卑微人中的一個絆倒，對那人來說，脖子上拴著大磨石，被丟進海裡反而更好。

陷信我小子之一者、寧以巨磨懸其頸、投於海、

凡陷信我之小子於罪者、寧以磨石懸其頸、投於海之為美也、

凡使此信我之一小子、陷於罪者、寧以磨石懸其頸而投於海、

如有使信我之小子、失足而陷罪者、毋寧以磨石繫頸、而被投諸海乎？

“ If anyone causes one of these little ones— those who believe in me— to stumble, it would be better for them if a large millstone were hung around their neck and they were thrown into the sea.

“ What if someone leads one of these little ones who believe in me to sin? If they do, it would be better if a large millstone were hung around their neck and they were thrown into the sea.

“ But if you cause one of these little ones who trusts in me to fall into sin, it would be better for you to be thrown into the sea with a large millstone hung around your neck.

“ But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to fall away— it would be better for him if a heavy millstone were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea.

“ Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it is better for him if a heavy millstone is hung around his neck and he is thrown into the sea.

“ But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea.

And whosoever shall cause one of these little ones that believe on me to stumble, it were better for him if a great millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.

“ But whoever causes the downfall of one of these little ones who believe in Me— it would be better for him if a heavy millstone were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea.

And whosoever shall offend one of[ these] little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.

“ If anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a huge millstone tied around his neck and to be thrown into the sea.

Whoever will cause one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for him if he were thrown into the sea with a millstone hung around his neck.

but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone fastened around his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea.

And he said to his disciples,“ Temptations to sin are sure to come, but woe to the one through whom they come!It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were cast into the sea than that he should cause one of these little ones to sin.

“ See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven.

I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them.

And falling to the ground, he heard a voice saying to him,“ Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?”

For if anyone sees you who have knowledge eating in an idol’s temple, will he not be encouraged, if his conscience is weak, to eat food offered to idols?And so by your knowledge this weak person is destroyed, the brother for whom Christ died.Thus, sinning against your brothers and wounding their conscience when it is weak, you sin against Christ.Therefore, if food makes my brother stumble, I will never eat meat, lest I make my brother stumble.

And many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of truth will be blasphemed.

Then he will answer them, saying,‘ Truly, I say to you, as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.’And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

but as it is written,“ Those who have never been told of him will see, and those who have never heard will understand.”

And I punished them often in all the synagogues and tried to make them blaspheme, and in raging fury against them I persecuted them even to foreign cities.“ In this connection I journeyed to Damascus with the authority and commission of the chief priests.At midday, O king, I saw on the way a light from heaven, brighter than the sun, that shone around me and those who journeyed with me.And when we had all fallen to the ground, I heard a voice saying to me in the Hebrew language,‘ Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me? It is hard for you to kick against the goads.’

So I would have younger widows marry, bear children, manage their households, and give the adversary no occasion for slander.

since indeed God considers it just to repay with affliction those who afflict you,and to grant relief to you who are afflicted as well as to us, when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with his mighty angelsin flaming fire, inflicting vengeance on those who do not know God and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.They will suffer the punishment of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might,

Therefore let us not pass judgment on one another any longer, but rather decide never to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of a brother.

We put no obstacle in anyone’s way, so that no fault may be found with our ministry,

Give no offense to Jews or to Greeks or to the church of God,just as I try to please everyone in everything I do, not seeking my own advantage, but that of many, that they may be saved.

so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ,

For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and you have given them blood to drink. It is what they deserve!”And I heard the altar saying,“ Yes, Lord God the Almighty, true and just are your judgments!”

When he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the witness they had borne.They cried out with a loud voice,“ O Sovereign Lord, holy and true, how long before you will judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?”
