He replied,“ Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you hypocrites; as it is written:“‘ These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.

He replied,“ Isaiah was right. He prophesied about you people who pretend to be good. He said,“‘ These people honor me by what they say. But their hearts are far away from me.

And he said to them,“ Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written,“‘ This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me;

Jesus replied,“ You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you, for he wrote,‘ These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.

He answered them,“ Isaiah prophesied correctly about you hypocrites, as it is written: This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.

But He said to them,“ Rightly did Isaiah prophesy about you hypocrites, as it is written:‘ This people honors Me with their lips, But their heart is far away from Me.

He answered and said to them,“ Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written:‘ This people honors Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me.

And he said unto them, Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoreth me with their lips, But their heart is far from me.

He answered them,“ Isaiah prophesied correctly about you hypocrites, as it is written: These people honor Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me.

He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with[ their] lips, but their heart is far from me.

主说：“因这百姓以口亲近我，用嘴唇尊敬我，心却远离我；他们敬畏我，不过是领受前人的命令。

他们宣称认识神，却在行为上否认他；他们是可憎恶的，是悖逆的，不配做任何好事。

他们如同百姓前来，来到你这里，坐在你面前仿佛是我的子民。他们听了你的话，却不实行；因为他们口里说爱，心却追随财利。

假冒为善的人哪！以赛亚指着你们所预言的说得好：‘这百姓用嘴唇尊敬我，他们的心却远离我。他们把人的规条当作教义教导人；他们拜我也是枉然。’”

“你们这假冒为善的文士和法利赛人有祸了！因为你们当着人的面把天国的门关了，自己不进去，要进去的人，你们也不容他们进去。

我的弟兄们，若有人说自己有信心，却没有行为，有什么益处呢？这信心能救他吗？若是弟兄或是姊妹没有衣服穿，又缺少日用的饮食；你们中间有人对他们说：“平平安安地去吧！愿你们穿得暖，吃得饱”，却不给他们身体所需要的，这有什么益处呢？信心也是这样，若没有行为是死的。

有敬虔的外貌，却背弃了敬虔的实质，这等人你要避开。

主对他说：“如今你们法利赛人洗净杯盘的外面，你们里面却满了贪婪和邪恶。无知的人哪！造外面的，不也造了里面吗？只要把杯盘里面的施舍给人，对你们来说一切就都洁净了。“但是你们法利赛人有祸了！因为你们将薄荷、芸香，和各样蔬菜献上十分之一，疏忽了公义和爱神的事；这原是你们该做的—至于其他也不可忽略。你们法利赛人有祸了！因为你们喜爱会堂里的高位，又喜欢人们在街市上向你们问安。你们有祸了！因为你们如同不显露的坟墓，走在上面的人并不知道。”

但我知道，你们没有爱神的心。

我若没有在他们中间做过别人未曾做的事，他们就没有罪；但如今连我与我的父，他们也看见了，也恨恶了。

你们是做你们父的工作。”他们就对他说：“我们不是从淫乱生的，我们只有一位父，就是神。”耶稣对他们说：“假如神是你们的父，你们会爱我，因为我本是出于神，也是从神而来，我不是凭着自己来，而是他差我来的。

耶稣回答：“我若荣耀自己，我的荣耀就算不了什么；荣耀我的是我的父，就是你们所说的你们的神。你们不认识他，我却认识他。我若说不认识他，我就是说谎的，像你们一样；但我认识他，也遵守他的道。

他们间彼此不合，就分散了；未散以先，保罗说了一句话：“圣灵藉以赛亚先知向你们祖宗所说的话是对的。

他们必呼求我：“我的神啊，我们以色列认识你了。”以色列丢弃良善；仇敌必追逼他。
