眾不勝奇異曰、其所為皆善、使聾者聞、啞者言矣、

眾不勝異曰、其所為者善、使聾者聰、啞者言矣。

眾不勝駭異曰、其所為盡善、使聾者聽、瘖者言矣、

眾皆不勝嘆異曰、『是其所為、靡有不善；直使聾者聰、而瘖者言矣。』

People were overwhelmed with amazement.“ He has done everything well,” they said.“ He even makes the deaf hear and the mute speak.”

People were really amazed.“ He has done everything well,” they said.“ He even makes deaf people able to hear. And he makes those who can’t speak able to talk.”

And they were astonished beyond measure, saying,“ He has done all things well. He even makes the deaf hear and the mute speak.”

They were completely amazed and said again and again,“ Everything he does is wonderful. He even makes the deaf to hear and gives speech to those who cannot speak.”

They were extremely astonished and said,“ He has done everything well. He even makes the deaf hear and the mute speak.”

And they were utterly astonished, saying,“ He has done all things well; He makes even those who are deaf hear, and those who are unable to talk, speak.”

And they were astonished beyond measure, saying,“ He has done all things well. He makes both the deaf to hear and the mute to speak.”

Why do you stare at us as if we had made this man walk by our own power or piety?The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our forefathers, has glorified his servant Jesus, whom you handed over and rejected in the presence of Pilate after he had decided to release him.

Completely baffled, they said,“ Aren’t all these who are speaking Galileans?And how is it that each one of us hears them in our own native language?Parthians, Medes, Elamites, and residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and the province of Asia,Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya near Cyrene, and visitors from Rome,both Jews and proselytes, Cretans and Arabs– we hear them speaking in our own languages about the great deeds God has done!”All were astounded and greatly confused, saying to one another,“ What does this mean?”

And we rightly so, for we are getting what we deserve for what we did, but this man has done nothing wrong.”

Then Moses said to the LORD,“ O my Lord, I am not an eloquent man, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant, for I am slow of speech and slow of tongue.”The LORD said to him,“ Who gave a mouth to man, or who makes a person mute or deaf or seeing or blind? Is it not I, the LORD?
