He* said to them,“ Why are you afraid, you men of little faith?” Then He got up and rebuked the winds and the sea, and it became perfectly calm.The men were amazed, and said,“ What kind of a man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?”

They came up to Jesus and woke Him, saying,“ Master, Master, we are perishing!” And He got up and rebuked the wind and the surging waves, and they stopped, and it became calm.And He said to them,“ Where is your faith?” But they were fearful and amazed, saying to one another,“ Who then is this, that He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey Him?”

And they were utterly astonished, saying,“ He has done all things well; He makes even those who are deaf hear, and those who are unable to talk, speak.”

Peter responded and said to Him,“ Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.”And He said,“ Come!” And Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water, and came toward Jesus.But seeing the wind, he became frightened, and when he began to sink, he cried out, saying,“ Lord, save me!”Immediately Jesus reached out with His hand and took hold of him, and* said to him,“ You of little faith, why did you doubt?”When they got into the boat, the wind stopped.

And he got up and immediately picked up the pallet and went out in the sight of everyone, so that they were all amazed and were glorifying God, saying,“ We have never seen anything like this!”

And they were all amazed, so they debated among themselves, saying,“ What is this? A new teaching with authority! He commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey Him.”

And immediately the girl got up and began to walk, for she was twelve years old. And immediately they were completely astonished.

And they went away in the boat to a secluded place by themselves.

They became very much afraid and said to one another,“ Who, then, is this, that even the wind and the sea obey Him?”

The floods have lifted up, Lord, The floods have lifted up their voice, The floods lift up their pounding waves.More than the sounds of many waters, Than the mighty breakers of the sea, The Lord on high is mighty.

Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, And He brought them out of their distresses.He caused the storm to be still, So that the waves of the sea were hushed.Then they were glad because they were quiet, So He guided them to their desired harbor.
