於是她出去問母親：“我該求甚麼呢？”希羅底告訴她：“施洗的約翰的頭！”

她就出去对她母亲说：“我可以求什么呢？”她母亲说：“施洗约翰的头。”

她就出去对她母亲说：“我该求什么呢？”她母亲说：“施洗约翰的头。”

她就出去对她母亲说：“我该求什么呢？”她母亲说：“施洗约翰的头。”

她便出去问她母亲：“我应该要什么呢？”她母亲说：“要施洗者约翰的头！”

于是她出去问母亲：“我该求什么呢？”希罗底告诉她：“施洗的约翰的头！”

于是女孩出去问她母亲说：“我应该要什么呢？”她母亲说：“要施洗者约翰的头！”

她就出去對她母親說：「我可以求甚麼呢？」她母親說：「施洗約翰的頭。」

女退詢母將何求、母曰：『施洗者如望之首。』

She went out and said to her mother,“ What shall I ask for?”“ The head of John the Baptist,” she answered.

And she went out, and said unto her mother, What shall I ask? And she said, The head of John the Baptizer.

Then she went out and said to her mother,“ What should I ask for?”“ John the Baptist’s head!” she said.

And she went forth, and said unto her mother, What shall I ask? And she said, The head of John the Baptist.

So she went out and said to her mother,“ What should I ask for?” Her mother said,“ The head of John the baptizer.”

She went out, and said to her mother,“ What shall I ask?” She said,“ The head of John the Baptizer.”

亞哈謝也隨從亞哈家的道路，因為他母親教唆他行惡。他行耶和華看為惡的事，好像亞哈家一樣，因為他的父親死了以後，亞哈家的人就教唆他，好使他滅亡。

我兒啊，現在你要聽我的話，照著我吩咐你的去作。你快到羊群那裡去，給我牽兩隻肥嫩的小山羊來，我要照你父親所喜歡的，給他預備美味的食物。然後你要拿去給你父親吃，好讓他在未死以前給你祝福。”雅各對他的母親利百加說：“但是哥哥以掃渾身是毛，而我卻是個皮膚光滑的人。

我家裡的人若沒有說：‘誰能找出哪一個沒有飽吃他的肉食的呢？’

說：‘你的母親是甚麼？是獅子群中的母獅，牠臥在少壯獅子群中，養育牠的小獅子。牠養大其中一隻小獅子，這幼獅成了一隻少壯的獅子，學會了撕碎獵物，把人吃掉。

那些作惡的，就是我的敵人、我的仇敵，他們逼近我，要吃我肉的時候，就絆跌仆倒。

石頭重，沙土也重，愚妄人的怒氣比這兩樣更重。烈怒雖然兇殘，暴怒又好像狂瀾，人還可以忍受；但面對嫉妒，誰能站立得住呢？

惡人謀害義人，向他咬牙切齒；

惡人已經拔出刀來，拉開了弓，要打倒困苦和貧窮的人，殺害行為正直的人。

她在母親的慫恿之下，說：“請把施洗的約翰的頭放在盤子上給我。”

到了天亮，猶太人在一起祕密計謀，並且發誓說，不殺保羅，就不吃不喝。一同策劃這項陰謀的有四十多人。
