Jesus heard what they were saying. He told the synagogue leader,“ Don’t be afraid. Just believe.”

耶穌卻當做沒聽見他們所說的話，對會堂主管說：「不要怕，只要信！」

耶穌不顧其所言、謂司會堂者曰、毋懼、惟信而已、

耶穌聞斯言、謂宰會堂者曰、勿懼、惟信而已、

耶穌聞所告之言、謂司會堂者曰、毋懼、惟當信、

耶穌聞言、謂會董曰：『勿懼、第信。』

Overhearing what they said, Jesus told him,“ Don’t be afraid; just believe.”

But overhearing what they said, Jesus said to the ruler of the synagogue,“ Do not fear, only believe.”

But Jesus overheard them and said to Jairus,“ Don’t be afraid. Just have faith.”

When Jesus overheard what was said, he told the synagogue leader,“ Don’t be afraid. Only believe.”

But Jesus, overhearing what was being spoken,* said to the synagogue official,“ Do not be afraid, only believe.”

As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, He said to the ruler of the synagogue,“ Do not be afraid; only believe.”

But Jesus, not heeding the word spoken, saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Fear not, only believe.

But when Jesus overheard what was said, He told the synagogue leader,“ Don’t be afraid. Only believe.”

As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.

But Jesus, paying no attention to what was said, told the synagogue ruler,“ Do not be afraid; just believe.”

But Jesus, when he heard the message spoken, immediately said to the ruler of the synagogue,“ Don’t be afraid, only believe.”

Hearing this, Jesus said to Jairus,“ Don’t be afraid. Just believe. She will be healed.”

When Jesus went indoors, the blind men came to him. He asked them,“ Do you believe that I can do this?”“ Yes, Lord,” they replied.Then he touched their eyes. He said,“ It will happen to you just as you believed.”

He said to her,“ Dear woman, your faith has healed you. Go in peace. You are free from your suffering.”

When there was no reason for hope, Abraham believed because he had hope. He became the father of many nations, exactly as God had promised. God said,“ That is how many children you will have.”( Genesis 15:5)Abraham did not become weak in his faith. He accepted the fact that he was past the time when he could have children. At that time Abraham was about 100 years old. He also realized that Sarah was too old to have children.But Abraham kept believing in God’s promise. He became strong in his faith. He gave glory to God.He was absolutely sure that God had the power to do what he had promised.That’s why“ God accepted Abraham because he believed. So his faith made him right with God.”( Genesis 15:6)The words“ God accepted Abraham’s faith” were written not only for Abraham.They were written also for us. We believe in the God who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. So God will accept our faith and make us right with himself.

“‘ If you can’?” said Jesus.“ Everything is possible for the one who believes.”

Then Jesus said,“ Didn’t I tell you that if you believe, you will see God’s glory?”

Early in the morning all the people left for the Desert of Tekoa. As they started out, Jehoshaphat stood up. He said,“ Judah, listen to me! People of Jerusalem, listen to me! Have faith in the Lord your God. He’ll take good care of you. Have faith in his prophets. Then you will have success.”

Jesus told him,“ You people will never believe unless you see signs and wonders.”The royal official said,“ Sir, come down before my child dies.”“ Go,” Jesus replied.“ Your son will live.” The man believed what Jesus said, and so he left.

He replied,“ Because your faith is much too small. What I’m about to tell you is true. If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, it is enough. You can say to this mountain,‘ Move from here to there.’ And it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
