When they came to Jesus, they saw the man who had been possessed by the legion of demons, sitting there, dressed and in his right mind; and they were afraid.

撒母耳遵行耶和华的吩咐，他来到伯利恒，那城的长老都战战兢兢地出来迎接他，问道：“你是为平安而来吗？”

伯·示麦人说：“谁能站立在耶和华——这位圣洁的上帝面前呢？该把约柜送到谁那里呢？”后来，他们就派使者到基列·耶琳的居民那里，说：“非利士人已经把耶和华的约柜送回来了，你们下来把它接到你们那里吧。”

因为上帝赐给我们的不是懦弱的心，而是刚强、仁爱、自律的心。

耶稣问：“你叫什么名字？”他说：“我的名字叫‘群’，因为我们是一大群。”

先前你们没有抬约柜，我们也没有按规矩求问我们的上帝耶和华，以致祂向我们发怒。”

但他们终必充满恐惧，因为上帝站在义人当中。

耶稣上岸后，迎面遇见当地一个被鬼附身的人。那人长期赤身露体，不住在房屋里，只住在墓穴中。

勇士抢去的能夺回来吗？暴君掳走的能救回来吗？但耶和华说：“勇士掳去的必被夺回，暴君抢去的必被救出。我必与你的敌人争战，拯救你的儿女。

玛大的妹妹玛丽亚坐在耶稣脚前听道，

难道你们不怕祂的威严，不对祂充满恐惧吗？

耶稣上了船准备离开的时候，那被鬼附过的人恳求耶稣让他随行。

祂的名声传遍了整个叙利亚。人们把一切患病的，就是患各种疾病的、疼痛的、癫痫的、瘫痪的，以及被鬼附身的都带到祂面前，祂都医治了他们。

耶稣把鬼赶出去后，哑巴就能说话了。众人都感到惊奇，说：“在以色列从未见过这样的事。”

“人如何进入壮汉家中抢夺他的财物呢？除非先把那壮汉捆绑起来，才有可能抢劫他的家。

人们出来看个究竟，到了耶稣那里，发现那曾被鬼附身的人衣着整齐、神智清醒地坐在耶稣脚前，他们都很害怕。目击者把事情的始末告诉了他们。

目睹这件事的人向他们讲述整个经过。

那天，大卫惧怕上帝，他说：“我怎能将上帝的约柜运到我这里？”

尽管有人多次用铁链和脚镣锁住他，但他挣断了铁链，砸碎了脚镣。没有人能制服他。
