夫光臨世、而人因所行者惡、愛暗而不愛光、定罪之故、即在此也、蓋凡作不善者、惡光而不就光、恐其所行被責、惟循真理而行者就光、以彰其所行、乃遵天主而行也、○

賴耶穌基督、得充滿義果、使人歸榮天主、稱頌天主、○

主曰、爾當大呼、毋息焉、揚聲若角音、向我民宣示其過、向雅各家宣示其罪、

凡受之者、即信其名者、賜之以權、為天主之子、或作凡受之者賜之以權為天主之子即信其名者也若是者、非由血氣、非由情慾、非由人意而生、乃由天主而生、○

既蒙應許享主之安息、則當謹慎、恐爾中或有遲緩不及者、蓋福音傳於我儕、如傳於彼眾然、但所聞之道、於彼眾無益、因聞之者、不以信而融洽、

遺沃壤者、指人聽道、以善良之心守之、且恆忍以結實、○

人欲遵行其旨、必知斯道、或由天主、或我由己而言、
