Will the Lord cast off for ever? And will he be favorable no more?Is his lovingkindness clean gone for ever? Doth his promise fail for evermore?Hath God forgotten to be gracious? Why standest thou afar off, O Jehovah? Why hidest thou thyself in times of trouble?In the pride of the wicked the poor is hotly pursued; Let them be taken in the devices that they have conceived.

Look down from heaven, and behold from the habitation of thy holiness and of thy glory: where are thy zeal and thy mighty acts? the yearning of thy heart and thy compassions are restrained toward me.

Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of Jehovah; awake, as in the days of old, the generations of ancient times. Is it not thou that didst cut Rahab in pieces, that didst pierce the monster?Is it not thou that driedst up the sea, the waters of the great deep; that madest the depths of the sea a way for the redeemed to pass over?

Awake, why sleepest thou, O Lord? Arise, cast us not off for ever.Wherefore hidest thou thy face, And forgettest our affliction and our oppression?

Wherefore it behooved him in all things to be made like unto his brethren, that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people.

My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? Why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my groaning?O my God, I cry in the daytime, but thou answerest not; And in the night season, and am not silent.

And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. And he awoke, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm.

and Jacob’s well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus by the well. It was about the sixth hour.

Yea, when I cry, and call for help, he shutteth out my prayer.
