勿謀何以食、何以飲、又勿縈擾、蓋此物、皆異邦人所求、天父知爾需之、

自當謹慎、勿以饜飫沉湎、世之憧擾累心、恐其日突然臨爾、

凡我諸枝、不結實者去之、結實者治之、使結實尤繁、

我栽培此園、無以復加、冀結嘉實、乃生惡果、何也、

開墾土壤、掃除沙石、擇其嘉種、植之於中、建峻臺、掘酒醡、冀結嘉實、反生惡果、

以金為寶者、金不足以滿其心、惟貨是好者、貨不足以充其欲、此亦屬於虛而已。財充則用繁、有財何裨。勞者食無餘、每見其安寢、富者因多財、恆不遑假寐。曠觀天下之人、深可憫惜、積貯貨財、自取其害、既遭患難、貨財俱失、雖有子孫、無業可遺。蓋裸而出世、必裸而歸土、所勤勞而得者、毫不能攜。良可憫也、其入世若是、其逝世亦若是、捕風無益、徒勞而已。

慮曰、我有物產、無處可儲、將若何、又曰、必毀我倉、建其大者、以儲百穀貨物、如此其可也、乃自謂曰、我有多物、積為歷年之用、此心可安然飲食喜樂也、上帝曰、無知者乎、今夜將索爾魂、則所備者誰歸、凡積財於己、而上帝前不富有者、亦如是、○
