And he saith unto them, Know ye not this parable? and how shall ye know all the parables?

又曰、斯喻爾未達乎、又安識諸喻耶、

又曰、斯譬未達、安識眾譬、

又謂之曰、此喻爾尚不達、何以識眾喻乎、

又曰：『斯譬之意、豈爾等亦不明耶？則又安足以喻眾譬乎？

Then Jesus said to them,“ Don’t you understand this parable? How then will you understand any parable?

Then Jesus said to them,“ Don’t you understand this story? Then how will you understand any stories of this kind?

And he said to them,“ Do you not understand this parable? How then will you understand all the parables?

Then Jesus said to them,“ If you can’t understand the meaning of this parable, how will you understand all the other parables?

As many as I love, I reprove and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

Have ye understood all these things? They say unto him, Yea.And he said unto them, Therefore every scribe who hath been made a disciple to the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is a householder, who bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.

Of whom we have many things to say, and hard of interpretation, seeing ye are become dull of hearing.For when by reason of the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need again that some one teach you the rudiments of the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of solid food.For every one that partaketh of milk is without experience of the word of righteousness; for he is a babe.But solid food is for fullgrown men, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern good and evil.

And Jesus perceiving it said, O ye of little faith, why reason ye among yourselves, because ye have no bread?Do ye not yet perceive, neither remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets ye took up?

And when he was entered into the house from the multitude, his disciples asked of him the parable.And he saith unto them, Are ye so without understanding also? Perceive ye not, that whatsoever from without goeth into the man, it cannot defile him;

And he said unto them, O foolish men, and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken!

Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.And those by the way side are they that have heard; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word from their heart, that they may not believe and be saved.And those on the rock are they who, when they have heard, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, who for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.And that which fell among the thorns, these are they that have heard, and as they go on their way they are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection.And that in the good ground, these are such as in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, hold it fast, and bring forth fruit with patience.

And Peter answered and said unto him, Declare unto us the parable.And he said, Are ye also even yet without understanding?Perceive ye not, that whatsoever goeth into the mouth passeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught?

And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, as unto babes in Christ.I fed you with milk, not with meat; for ye were not yet able to bear it: nay, not even now are ye able;

Hear then ye the parable of the sower.When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the evil one, and snatcheth away that which hath been sown in his heart. This is he that was sown by the way side.And he that was sown upon the rocky places, this is he that heareth the word, and straightway with joy receiveth it;yet hath he not root in himself, but endureth for a while; and when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, straightway he stumbleth.And he that was sown among the thorns, this is he that heareth the word; and the care of the world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.And he that was sown upon the good ground, this is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; who verily beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.
