然后问众人：“在安息日应该行善还是作恶？救人还是害人？”他们都不吭声。

又对他们说：“在安息日哪一样是可以作的呢：作好事还是坏事？救命还是害命？”他们一声不响。

耶稣问他们：“在安息日可以行善还是作恶，救命还是害命？”他们却不做声。

他又問眾人：「在安息日行善行惡，救命害命，哪樣是合法的呢？」他們都不作聲。

耶穌問他們：「在安息日可以行善還是作惡，救命還是害命？」他們卻不做聲。

復問眾曰：『禮日當行善乎？抑作惡乎？救生乎？抑戕生乎？』眾皆嘿然不答。

Then Jesus asked them,“ Which is lawful on the Sabbath: to do good or to do evil, to save life or to kill?” But they remained silent.

Then Jesus asked them,“ What does the Law say we should do on the Sabbath day? Should we do good? Or should we do evil? Should we save life? Or should we kill?” But no one answered.

And he said to them,“ Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do harm, to save life or to kill?” But they were silent.

Then he turned to his critics and asked,“ Does the law permit good deeds on the Sabbath, or is it a day for doing evil? Is this a day to save life or to destroy it?” But they wouldn’t answer him.

Then he said to them,“ Is it lawful to do good on the Sabbath or to do evil, to save life or to kill?” But they were silent.

And He* said to them,“ Is it lawful to do good on the Sabbath or to do harm, to save a life or to kill?” But they kept silent.

Then He said to them,“ Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do evil, to save life or to kill?” But they kept silent.

And he saith unto them, Is it lawful on the sabbath day to do good, or to do harm? to save a life, or to kill? But they held their peace.

Then He said to them,“ Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do what is good or to do what is evil, to save life or to kill?” But they were silent.

And he saith unto them, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? But they held their peace.

耶穌對他們說：「我問你們，在安息日行善行惡，救命害命，哪樣是可以的呢？」

那裏有一個人枯乾了一隻手。有人問耶穌說：「安息日治病可以不可以？」意思是要控告他。耶穌說：「你們中間誰有一隻羊，當安息日掉在坑裏，不把牠抓住、拉上來呢？人比羊何等貴重呢！所以，在安息日做善事是可以的。」

安息日，耶穌到一個法利賽人的首領家裏去吃飯，他們就窺探他。在他面前有一個患水臌的人。耶穌對律法師和法利賽人說：「安息日治病可以不可以？」他們卻不言語。耶穌就治好那人，叫他走了；便對他們說：「你們中間誰有驢或有牛，在安息日掉在井裏，不立時拉牠上來呢？」

又對他們說：「安息日是為人設立的，人不是為安息日設立的。所以，人子也是安息日的主。」

於是用兩隻手按着她；她立刻直起腰來，就歸榮耀與神。管會堂的因為耶穌在安息日治病，就氣忿忿地對眾人說：「有六日應當做工；那六日之內可以來求醫，在安息日卻不可。」主說：「假冒為善的人哪，難道你們各人在安息日不解開槽上的牛、驢，牽去飲嗎？況且這女人本是亞伯拉罕的後裔，被撒但捆綁了這十八年，不當在安息日解開她的綁嗎？」耶穌說這話，他的敵人都慚愧了；眾人因他所行一切榮耀的事，就都歡喜了。

門徒不作聲，因為他們在路上彼此爭論誰為大。

我喜愛良善，不喜愛祭祀；喜愛認識神，勝於燔祭。
