I am sending you out like lambs among wolves.Do not take a purse or bag or sandals; and do not greet anyone on the road.“ When you enter a house, first say,‘ Peace to this house.’If someone who promotes peace is there, your peace will rest on them; if not, it will return to you.Stay there, eating and drinking whatever they give you, for the worker deserves his wages. Do not move around from house to house.“ When you enter a town and are welcomed, eat what is offered to you.Heal the sick who are there and tell them,‘ The kingdom of God has come near to you.’But when you enter a town and are not welcomed, go into its streets and say,‘ Even the dust of your town we wipe from our feet as a warning to you. Yet be sure of this: The kingdom of God has come near.’ (niv)

When Jesus had called the Twelve together, he gave them power and authority to drive out all demons and to cure diseases,and he sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.He told them:“ Take nothing for the journey— no staff, no bag, no bread, no money, no extra shirt.Whatever house you enter, stay there until you leave that town.If people do not welcome you, leave their town and shake the dust off your feet as a testimony against them.”So they set out and went from village to village, proclaiming the good news and healing people everywhere. Then they prayed,“ Lord, you know everyone’s heart. Show us which of these two you have chosento take over this apostolic ministry, which Judas left to go where he belongs.” (niv)

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (niv)

But when God, who set me apart from my mother’s womb and called me by his grace, was pleasedto reveal his Son in me so that I might preach him among the Gentiles, my immediate response was not to consult any human being.I did not go up to Jerusalem to see those who were apostles before I was, but I went into Arabia. Later I returned to Damascus.Then after three years, I went up to Jerusalem to get acquainted with Cephas and stayed with him fifteen days.I saw none of the other apostles— only James, the Lord’s brother.I assure you before God that what I am writing you is no lie.
