耶穌對他們說：『新郎跟賀喜的朋友在一起的時候，賀喜的朋友哪能禁食呢？儘有新郎跟他們在一起的時候，他們總不能禁食的。

耶穌對他們說：「新郎與賓客在一起的時候，難道賓客能禁食嗎？只要他們與新郎在一起，他們就不能禁食。

耶穌曰、新娶者偕在、賀婚者能禁食乎、新娶者尚在、不能禁食也、

耶穌曰、新娶者在、賀娶者安用禁食乎、蓋新娶者尚在、無庸禁食矣、

耶穌曰、新娶者尚在、賀娶之客豈可禁食、蓋新娶者尚在、彼不能禁食、

耶穌對曰：『新壻在、賀婚之友能守齋乎？蓋新壻一日與之偕、若輩即一日不宜守齋。

And Jesus said unto them, Can the sons of the bridechamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them? as long as they have the bridegroom with them, they cannot fast.

Jesus said to them,“ The wedding guests cannot fast while the groom is with them, can they? As long as they have the groom with them, they cannot fast.

And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them? as long as they have the bridegroom with them, they cannot fast.

「那時，天國好比十個童女拿着燈出去迎接新郎。其中有五個是愚拙的，五個是聰明的。愚拙的拿着燈，卻沒有帶油；聰明的拿着燈，又盛了油在器皿裏。新郎遲延的時候，她們都打盹，睡着了。半夜有人喊：『看，新郎來了，你們出來迎接他。』那些童女就都起來挑亮她們的燈。愚拙的對聰明的說：『請分點油給我們，因為我們的燈要滅了。』聰明的回答：『恐怕不夠你我用的；你們還是自己到賣油的那裏去買吧。』她們去買的時候，新郎到了。那預備好了的，與他進去共赴婚宴，門就關了。

拉班就擺設宴席，請了當地所有的人。

他父親下到女子那裏去。參孫在那裏擺設宴席，因為這是當時年輕人的習俗。他們看見參孫，就請了三十個人陪伴他。

雖有六十王后、八十妃嬪，並有無數的童女。

她穿錦繡的衣服，引到王面前，陪伴她的童女隨從她，也被帶到你面前。
