大司祭及經生輩亦相與肆其嘲弄曰：『何彼之善於救人、而拙於救己也！

In the same way the chief priests and the teachers of the law mocked him among themselves.“ He saved others,” they said,“ but he can’t save himself!

So also the chief priests with the scribes mocked him to one another, saying,“ He saved others; he cannot save himself.

The leading priests and teachers of religious law also mocked Jesus.“ He saved others,” they scoffed,“ but he can’t save himself!

百姓站著觀看，官長嘲笑耶穌說：「祂救了別人，如果祂是上帝所選立的基督，讓祂救自己吧！」士兵們也戲弄祂，拿了些酸酒上前給祂喝，又說：「如果你是猶太人的王，救救自己呀！」

祭司長、律法教師和長老也嘲諷說：「祂救了別人，卻救不了自己！祂要是以色列的王，就從十字架上跳下來吧！我們就信祂。祂說信靠上帝，如果上帝喜悅祂，就讓上帝來救祂吧！因為祂自稱是上帝的兒子。」

惡人包圍我，猶如一群惡犬，他們刺傷我的手腳。我身上的骨頭歷歷可見，人們都幸災樂禍地看著我。

祭司長和法利賽人便召開公會會議，說：「這人行了這麼多神蹟，我們該怎麼辦呢？如果讓祂這樣繼續下去，所有的人都會信祂，那時羅馬人一定會來奪取我們的土地，擄掠我們的人民。」當年擔任大祭司的該亞法對他們說：「你們什麼都不懂！你們沒有認識到，祂一個人替眾人死，而不是整個民族滅亡，對你們來說更好。」其實這句話不是出於他自己，只因那年他是大祭司，上帝藉著他預言耶穌將要替猶太民族死。祂不單是要替猶太民族死，也要把散居在各處的上帝的兒女聚集在一起。

列國為何咆哮？萬民為何枉費心機？世上的君王一同行動，官長聚集商議，要抵擋耶和華和祂所膏立的王。他們說：「讓我們掙斷他們的鎖鏈，脫去他們的捆索！」坐在天上寶座上的主必笑他們，祂必嘲笑他們。

如果上帝的旨意是要你們因行善而受苦，這也總比你們因作惡而受苦強。因為基督也曾一次為罪受苦，以無罪之身代替不義之人，為要領你們到上帝面前。祂的肉體雖被處死，但祂藉著聖靈復活了。

耶穌說：「人子得榮耀的時候到了。我實實在在地告訴你們，一粒麥子如果不落在地裡死了，仍是一粒，如果死了，就會結出許多麥粒來。
