過路的人都嘲笑祂，搖著頭說：「哈，你這要把聖殿拆毀又在三天內重建的人啊，

過路的人譏笑他，搖著頭說：“哼，你這個要拆毀聖所，三日之內又把它建造起來的，

經過的人毁謗他，搖着頭說：『咳，你這拆毁殿堂、三天以內建造起來的、

那些路過的人辱罵耶穌，搖著頭，說：「咳！你這個要拆毀聖所、三天內又建起來的人哪，

過者誚之、搖首曰、噫、爾毀殿、三日建之、

過者譏之、搖首曰、噫、毀聖殿三日又建之者、

過者莫不搖首而訕之曰：『噫嘻！爾毀聖殿、而於三曰重建之者！

The people passing by shouted abuse, shaking their heads in mockery.“ Ha! Look at you now!” they yelled at him.“ You said you were going to destroy the Temple and rebuild it in three days.

And those who passed by blasphemed Him, wagging their heads and saying,“ Aha! You who destroy the temple and build it in three days,

And they that passed by railed on him, wagging their heads, and saying, Ha! thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days,

Those who passed by were yelling insults at Him, shaking their heads, and saying,“ Ha! The One who would demolish the sanctuary and build it in three days,

And they that passed by railed on him, wagging their heads, and saying, Ah, thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest[ it] in three days,

Those who passed by defamed him, shaking their heads and saying,“ Aha! You who can destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days,

Those who passed by blasphemed him, wagging their heads, and saying,“ Ha! You who destroy the temple, and build it in three days,

“ We heard Him say,‘ I will destroy this temple that was made by hands, and in three days I will build another, made without hands.’ ”

I also have become a disgrace to them; When they see me, they shake their head.

All who pass along the way Clap their hands in ridicule at you; They hiss and shake their heads At the daughter of Jerusalem:“ Is this the city of which they said,‘ Perfect in beauty, A joy to all the earth’?”

“ Is it nothing to all you who pass this way? Look and see if there is any pain like my pain Which was inflicted on me, With which the Lord tormented me on the day of His fierce anger.

They said to one another,“ Here comes this dreamer!Now then, come and let’s kill him, and throw him into one of the pits; and we will say,‘ A vicious animal devoured him.’ Then we will see what will become of his dreams!”

All who see me deride me; They sneer, they shake their heads, saying,“ Turn him over to the Lord; let Him save him; Let Him rescue him, because He delights in him.”

But at my stumbling they rejoiced and gathered themselves together; The afflicted people whom I did not know gathered together against me, They slandered me without ceasing.Like godless jesters at a feast, They gnashed at me with their teeth.Lord, how long will You look on? Rescue my soul from their ravages, My only life from the lions.I will give You thanks in the great congregation; I will praise You among a mighty people.Do not let those who are wrongfully my enemies rejoice over me; Nor let those who hate me for no reason wink maliciously.For they do not speak peace, But they devise deceitful words against those who are quiet in the land.They opened their mouth wide against me; They said,“ Aha, aha! Our eyes have seen it!”

For they have persecuted him whom You Yourself struck, And they tell of the pain of those whom You have wounded.

You know my disgrace, my shame, and my dishonor; All my enemies are known to You.Disgrace has broken my heart, and I am so sick. And I waited for sympathy, but there was none; And for comforters, but I found none.

and said,“ This man stated,‘ I am able to destroy the temple of God and to rebuild it in three days.’ ”

Because for Your sake I have endured disgrace; Dishonor has covered my face.

And those passing by were speaking abusively to Him, shaking their heads,and saying,“ You who are going to destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days, save Yourself! If You are the Son of God, come down from the cross.”

Many bulls have surrounded me; Strong bulls of Bashan have encircled me.They open their mouths wide at me, As a ravening and roaring lion.I am poured out like water, And all my bones are out of joint; My heart is like wax; It is melted within me.

The Jews then said to Him,“ What sign do You show us as your authority for doing these things?”Jesus answered them,“ Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.”The Jews then said,“ It took forty six years to build this temple, and yet You will raise it up in three days?”But He was speaking about the temple of His body.So when He was raised from the dead, His disciples remembered that He said this; and they believed the Scripture and the word which Jesus had spoken.
