Just as he was speaking, Judas, one of the Twelve, appeared. With him was a crowd armed with swords and clubs, sent from the chief priests, the teachers of the law, and the elders.

「諸位弟兄，聖經的話必須應驗。聖經中，聖靈曾藉大衛的口預先說到那領人來拿耶穌的猶大；

猶大領了一隊兵，以及祭司長和法利賽人的聖殿警衛，拿着燈籠、火把和兵器來到園裏。耶穌知道將要臨到自己的一切事，就出來對他們說：「你們找誰？」他們回答他：「拿撒勒人耶穌。」耶穌對他們說：「我就是。」出賣他的猶大也同他們站在一起。耶穌一對他們說「我就是」，他們就退後，倒在地上。他又問他們：「你們找誰？」他們說：「拿撒勒人耶穌。」耶穌回答：「我已經告訴你們，我就是。你們若找的是我，就讓這些人走吧。」這要應驗耶穌說過的話：「你所賜給我的人，我一個也不失落。」西門‧彼得帶着一把刀，就拔出來，把大祭司的僕人砍了一刀，削掉了他的右耳，那僕人名叫馬勒古。於是耶穌對彼得說：「收刀入鞘吧！我父給我的杯，我豈可不喝呢？」

耶穌還在說話的時候，十二使徒之一的猶大來了，還有一大羣人帶着刀棒，從祭司長和百姓的長老那裏跟他同來。那出賣耶穌的給了他們一個暗號，說：「我親誰，誰就是。你們把他抓住。」猶大立刻進前來對耶穌說：「拉比，你好！」就跟他親吻。耶穌對他說：「朋友，你來要做的事，就做吧。」於是那些人上前，下手抓住耶穌。忽然，有一個和耶穌一起的人伸手拔出刀來，把大祭司的僕人砍了一刀，削掉了他一隻耳朵。耶穌對他說：「收刀入鞘吧！凡動刀的，必死在刀下。你想我不能求我父，現在為我差遣比十二營還多的天使來嗎？若是這樣，經上所說事情必須如此發生的話怎麼應驗呢？」就在那時，耶穌對眾人說：「你們帶着刀棒出來抓我，如同拿強盜嗎？我天天坐在聖殿裏教導人，你們並沒有抓我。但這整件事的發生，是要應驗先知書上的話。」那時，門徒都離開他，逃走了。

耶穌還在說話的時候，來了一羣人。十二使徒之一名叫猶大的，走在前頭，接近耶穌，要親他。耶穌對他說：「猶大，你用親吻來出賣人子嗎？」左右的人見了要發生的事，就說：「主啊，我們拿刀砍好不好？」其中有一個人把大祭司的僕人砍了一刀，削掉了他的右耳。耶穌回答說：「算了，住手吧！」就摸那人的耳朵，把他治好了。耶穌對那些來抓他的祭司長、守殿官和長老說：「你們帶着刀棒出來，如同對付強盜嗎？我天天同你們在聖殿裏，你們不下手抓我。現在卻是你們的時候，黑暗掌權了。」

耶和華啊，我的敵人何其增多！許多人起來攻擊我。許多人議論我：「他得不到神的幫助。」（細拉）

列國為甚麼爭鬧？萬民為甚麼圖謀虛妄？世上的君王都站穩，臣宰一同算計，要對抗耶和華，對抗他的受膏者：

求你不要遠離我！因為災難臨頭，無人幫助。許多公牛環繞我，巴珊大力的公牛四面圍困我。牠們向我張口，好像獵食吼叫的獅子。
