For they said,“ Not during the feast, so there won’t be a riot among the people.”

只是说：“当节的日子不可，恐怕百姓生乱。”

他们说：“不可在过节的日子，恐怕百姓生乱。”

他们说：“不可在过节的日子，恐怕百姓生乱。”

他们说：“我们不能在节期那天下手，以免在百姓中引起骚乱。”

不过他们说：“不可在节日期间，免得民众发生骚乱。”

只是說：「當節的日子不可，恐怕百姓生亂。」

他們說：「不可在過節的日子，恐怕百姓生亂。」

他們說：「不可在過節的日子，恐怕百姓生亂。」

他們說：「我們不能在節期那天下手，以免在百姓中引起騷亂。」

他們說，當節期不可，恐怕會有民間的擾亂。

不過他們說：「不可在節日期間，免得民眾發生騷亂。」

曰、勿於節期、恐民生亂、○

惟曰、節期不可、恐民生亂、○

惟曰、當節期不可、恐民生亂、○

且曰：『不宜於節中行之、恐民生變。』

“ But not during the festival,” they said,“ or the people may riot.”

“ But not during the feast,” they said.“ The people may stir up trouble.”

for they said,“ Not during the feast, lest there be an uproar from the people.”

“ But not during the Passover celebration,” they agreed,“ or the people may riot.”

“ Not during the festival,” they said,“ so that there won’t be a riot among the people.”

for they were saying,“ Not during the festival, otherwise there will be a riot of the people.”

But they said,“ Not during the feast, lest there be an uproar of the people.”

for they said, Not during the feast, lest haply there shall be a tumult of the people.

“ Not during the festival,” they said,“ or there may be rioting among the people.”

But they said, Not on the feast[ day], lest there be an uproar of the people.

For they said,“ Not during the feast, because there might be a riot among the people.”

It is good for a man to bear the yoke while he is young.י( Yod)

When they heard these words, some of the crowd began to say,“ This really is the Prophet!”

The chief priests and the experts in the law heard it and they considered how they could assassinate him, for they feared him, because the whole crowd was amazed by his teaching.

But if we say,‘ From people,’ all the people will stone us, because they are convinced that John was a prophet.”

But they said,“ Not during the feast, so that there won’t be a riot among the people.”

There is no wisdom and there is no understanding, and there is no counsel against the LORD.

But if we say,‘ From people–’”( they feared the crowd, for they all considered John to be truly a prophet).

There are many plans in a person’s mind, but it is the counsel of the LORD which will stand.

Thus the Pharisees said to one another,“ You see that you can do nothing. Look, the world has run off after him!”
