但是等到時候一滿足，神就派遣他的兒子，由女人所生，生在律法之下，

你們應當把那舊的酵母除淨，好使你們成為新的麵團，就像你們是無酵的那樣；因為實際上，我們逾越節的羔羊——基督已經被獻上了。所以讓我們來守這節，不可用舊的酵母，也不可用惡毒、惡意的酵母，而要用真誠、真實的無酵餅。

除酵節的第一日到了，在這一天必須宰殺逾越節的羔羊。耶穌差派彼得和約翰，說：「你們去為我們預備逾越節的晚餐，好讓我們能吃上。」他們問耶穌：「你要我們在哪裡預備呢？」耶穌對他們說：「看哪！你們進了城，會有一個人提著一罐水迎面而來，你們就跟著他，到他所進的那一家去，對那家的主人說：『老師問你：我與我的門徒們一起吃逾越節晚餐的客房在哪裡呢？』他會給你們看樓上一間布置好的大房間，你們就在那裡預備吧。」他們去了，看到的正如耶穌對他們所說的。他們就預備了逾越節的晚餐。

除酵節的第一日，門徒們前來問耶穌：「你要我們到哪裡去預備，好讓你吃逾越節的晚餐呢？」耶穌說：「你們進城去，到某人那裡，告訴他：『老師說，我的時候快到了。我要在你那裡與我的門徒們一起守逾越節。』」門徒們就依照耶穌所吩咐的去做，預備了逾越節的晚餐。

耶穌回答他，說：「現在你就答應吧，因為我們如此成全一切的義，是合宜的。」於是約翰答應了他。
