Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, across from the temple. Peter, James, John and Andrew asked him a question in private.

He did not say anything to them without using a story. But when he was alone with his disciples, he explained everything.

As they all approached Jerusalem, they came to Bethphage. It was on the Mount of Olives. Jesus sent out two disciples.

The disciples came to him. They asked,“ Why do you use stories when you speak to the people?”

One day Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee. There he saw Simon and his brother Andrew. They were throwing a net into the lake. They were fishermen.“ Come and follow me,” Jesus said.“ I will send you out to fish for people.”At once they left their nets and followed him.Then Jesus walked a little farther. As he did, he saw James, the son of Zebedee, and his brother John. They were in a boat preparing their nets.

He let only Peter, James, and John, the brother of James, follow him.

After six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John the brother of James with him. He led them up a high mountain. They were all alone.

Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives. There the disciples came to him in private.“ Tell us,” they said.“ When will this happen? And what will be the sign of your coming? What will be the sign of the end?”

Andrew was Simon Peter’s brother. Andrew was one of the two disciples who heard what John had said. He had also followed Jesus.The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon. He told him,“ We have found the Messiah.” Messiah means Christ.

Then Jesus left the crowd and went into the house. His disciples came to him. They said,“ Explain to us the story of the weeds in the field.”

After six days Jesus took Peter, James and John with him. He led them up a high mountain. They were all alone. There in front of them his appearance was changed.

James and John came to Jesus. They were the sons of Zebedee.“ Teacher,” they said,“ we would like to ask you for a favor.”

He took Peter, James and John along with him. He began to be very upset and troubled.
