Now about the dead rising— have you not read in the Book of Moses, in the account of the burning bush, how God said to him,‘ I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’?

What about the dead rising? Haven’t you read in the Book of Moses the story of the burning bush? God said to Moses,‘ I am the God of Abraham. I am the God of Isaac. And I am the God of Jacob.’( Exodus 3:6)

我將與爾、及爾歷代苗裔、立我永約、為爾及爾裔之上帝、爾所旅者、即迦南一境、我將以之賜爾及爾苗裔、永為恆產、我亦為其上帝。○

在彼築壇、稱其名上帝壇、即以色列之上帝。

爾往屬以色列長老、而告之曰、爾祖之上帝亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各之上帝耶和華、顯現於我、曰、我眷顧爾、爾於埃及所受、我無不鑒之。

是夜耶和華顯現、謂之曰、勿懼、我乃爾父亞伯拉罕之上帝、為我僕亞伯拉罕故、我必佑爾、錫嘏於爾、蕃衍爾苗裔。

經云、工師所棄之石、成為屋隅首石、

論死者復生、豈未讀上帝所諭爾云、我乃亞伯拉罕之上帝、以撒之上帝、雅各之上帝也、是上帝非死者之上帝、乃生者之上帝也、

逾四十載、於西乃山野、棘火焰中、主之使者、顯與摩西、摩西見而奇之、近前諦視、聞主聲曰、我乃爾祖之上帝、即亞伯拉罕之上帝、以撒之上帝、雅各之上帝也、摩西戰慄不敢視、

昔我眷顧亞伯拉罕、簡其後裔、以色列族雅各家、為我臣僕。自地極天涯、召之以至、曰、我簡爾為僕、不汝遐棄。我乃爾之上帝、必左右爾、扶翼爾、手援爾、以彰仁義、故勿畏葸、勿狐疑、

使吾祖亞伯拉罕之上帝、吾父以撒所畏之上帝、不祐我、汝必棄我、絕無所得、惟上帝監我操作辛勤、故前夕責爾。○

遂禱曰吾祖亞伯拉罕之上帝、吾父以撒之上帝耶和華、昔命我回故土、故族、許以恩待、

耶和華之使、於棘火焰中顯現。摩西見棘焚而不燬、曰、我必回步履、睹此異象、棘焚不燬、曷故。耶和華上帝見摩西回步履、則自棘中呼之曰、摩西、摩西。曰、我在此。曰、爾勿前、解爾履、爾立之所乃聖地。又曰、我乃爾祖之上帝、即亞伯拉罕之上帝、以撒之上帝、雅各之上帝、摩西蒙其面、不敢覲上帝。

耶和華據其巔曰、我乃爾祖亞伯拉罕與以撒之上帝耶和華、爾所寢之地、悉以賚爾、爰及苗裔。
