ΚΑΤΑ ΜΑΤΘΑΙΟΝ 22 23-ΚΑΤΑ ΜΑΤΘΑΙΟΝ 22 33
That same day the Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection, came to him with a question.“ Teacher,” they said,“ Moses told us that if a man dies without having children, his brother must marry the widow and raise up offspring for him.Now there were seven brothers among us. The first one married and died, and since he had no children, he left his wife to his brother. The same thing happened to the second and third brother, right on down to the seventh. Finally, the woman died. Now then, at the resurrection, whose wife will she be of the seven, since all of them were married to her?”Jesus replied,“ You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God.At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven. But about the resurrection of the dead— have you not read what God said to you,‘ I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? He is not the God of the dead but of the living.”When the crowds heard this, they were astonished at his teaching. (niv)

ΠΡΟΣ ΚΟΡΙΝΘΙΟΥΣ Αʹ 15 13-ΠΡΟΣ ΚΟΡΙΝΘΙΟΥΣ Αʹ 15 18
If there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith.More than that, we are then found to be false witnesses about God, for we have testified about God that he raised Christ from the dead. But he did not raise him if in fact the dead are not raised. For if the dead are not raised, then Christ has not been raised either. And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins. Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ are lost. Then Paul, knowing that some of them were Sadducees and the others Pharisees, called out in the Sanhedrin,“ My brothers, I am a Pharisee, descended from Pharisees. I stand on trial because of the hope of the resurrection of the dead.”When he said this, a dispute broke out between the Pharisees and the Sadducees, and the assembly was divided.( The Sadducees say that there is no resurrection, and that there are neither angels nor spirits, but the Pharisees believe all these things.)There was a great uproar, and some of the teachers of the law who were Pharisees stood up and argued vigorously.“ We find nothing wrong with this man,” they said.“ What if a spirit or an angel has spoken to him?” (niv)

ΚΑΤΑ ΛΟΥΚΑΝ 20 27-ΚΑΤΑ ΛΟΥΚΑΝ 20 40
Some of the Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection, came to Jesus with a question.“ Teacher,” they said,“ Moses wrote for us that if a man’s brother dies and leaves a wife but no children, the man must marry the widow and raise up offspring for his brother. Now there were seven brothers. The first one married a woman and died childless. The secondand then the third married her, and in the same way the seven died, leaving no children. Finally, the woman died too.Now then, at the resurrection whose wife will she be, since the seven were married to her?”Jesus replied,“ The people of this age marry and are given in marriage. But those who are considered worthy of taking part in the age to come and in the resurrection from the dead will neither marry nor be given in marriage, and they can no longer die; for they are like the angels. They are God’s children, since they are children of the resurrection. But in the account of the burning bush, even Moses showed that the dead rise, for he calls the Lord‘ the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.’He is not the God of the dead, but of the living, for to him all are alive.”Some of the teachers of the law responded,“ Well said, teacher!”And no one dared to ask him any more questions.
