He said to them,“ The Scriptures declare,‘ My Temple will be called a house of prayer for all nations,’ but you have turned it into a den of thieves.”

便教训他们说：“经上不是记着说：‘我的殿必称为万国祷告的殿’吗？你们倒使它成为贼窝了。”

他教导他们说：“经上不是记着：‘我的殿要称为万国祷告的殿吗？你们倒使它成为贼窝了。’”

他又教训众人说：“经上不是写着‘我的殿要称为万国祷告的殿’吗？你们竟把它弄成贼窝了。”

耶稣教导他们说：“经上不是记着‘我的殿将被称为万国祷告的殿’吗？而你们却使它成为贼窝了！”

他教導他們說：「經上不是記着：『我的殿要稱為萬國禱告的殿嗎？你們倒使它成為賊窩了。』」

便教訓他們說：『經上不是記着說：「我的殿必須稱為禱告之殿，給萬國的人用」麼？你們、倒使它做了強盜的巢穴了！』

耶穌教導他們說：「經上不是記著『我的殿將被稱為萬國禱告的殿』嗎？而你們卻使它成為賊窩了！」

誨之曰、記不云乎、吾室必稱萬邦祈禱之室、而爾曹以為盜巢也、

示人曰、記不云乎、我室必稱為諸民祈禱之室、爾曹以為盜巢也、

訓眾曰、經不載云、我室必稱為萬民祈禱之室乎、惟爾曹以之為盜巢、

且訓之曰：『經不云乎、「吾殿應稱萬民祈禱之所、」爾乃以之為盜窟矣。』

And as he taught them, he said,“ Is it not written:‘ My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations’? But you have made it‘ a den of robbers.’”

Then he taught them. He told them,“ It is written that the Lord said,‘ My house will be called a house where people from all nations can pray.’( Isaiah 56:7) But you have made it a‘ den for robbers.’ ”( Jeremiah 7:11)

And he was teaching them and saying to them,“ Is it not written,‘ My house shall be called a house of prayer for all the nations’? But you have made it a den of robbers.”

He was teaching them:“ Is it not written, My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations? But you have made it a den of thieves!”

And He began to teach and say to them,“ Is it not written:‘ My house will be called a house of prayer for all the nations’? But you have made it a den of robbers.”

Then He taught, saying to them,“ Is it not written,‘ My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations’? But you have made it a‘ den of thieves.’”

And he taught, and said unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called a house of prayer for all the nations? but ye have made it a den of robbers.

Then He began to teach them:“ Is it not written, My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations? But you have made it a den of thieves!”

And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves.

Then he began to teach them and said,“ Is it not written:‘ My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations’? But you have turned it into a den of robbers!”

He taught, saying to them,“ Isn’t it written,‘ My house will be called a house of prayer for all the nations?’ But you have made it a den of robbers!”

I will bring them to my holy mountain of Jerusalem and will fill them with joy in my house of prayer. I will accept their burnt offerings and sacrifices, because my Temple will be called a house of prayer for all nations.

Don’t you yourselves admit that this Temple, which bears my name, has become a den of thieves? Surely I see all the evil going on there. I, the Lord, have spoken!

He said to them,“ The Scriptures declare,‘ My Temple will be a house of prayer,’ but you have turned it into a den of thieves.”

Then, going over to the people who sold doves, he told them,“ Get these things out of here. Stop turning my Father’s house into a marketplace!”

But no, the people are like crafty merchants selling from dishonest scales— they love to cheat.

“ In the future, foreigners who do not belong to your people Israel will hear of you. They will come from distant lands because of your name,for they will hear of your great name and your strong hand and your powerful arm. And when they pray toward this Temple,then hear from heaven where you live, and grant what they ask of you. In this way, all the people of the earth will come to know and fear you, just as your own people Israel do. They, too, will know that this Temple I have built honors your name.“ If your people go out where you send them to fight their enemies, and if they pray to the Lord by turning toward this city you have chosen and toward this Temple I have built to honor your name,then hear their prayers from heaven and uphold their cause.“ If they sin against you— and who has never sinned?— you might become angry with them and let their enemies conquer them and take them captive to their land far away or near.But in that land of exile, they might turn to you in repentance and pray,‘ We have sinned, done evil, and acted wickedly.’If they turn to you with their whole heart and soul in the land of their enemies and pray toward the land you gave to their ancestors— toward this city you have chosen, and toward this Temple I have built to honor your name—

The flocks of Kedar will be given to you, and the rams of Nebaioth will be brought for my altars. I will accept their offerings, and I will make my Temple glorious.
