On reaching Jerusalem, Jesus entered the temple courts and began driving out those who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves,

猶太人的逾越節快到了，耶穌便上耶路撒冷去。祂看見聖殿區有人在賣牛羊和鴿子，還有人在兌換銀幣，就用繩索做成鞭子把牛羊趕出去，倒掉錢商的銀幣，推翻他們的桌子，又對賣鴿子的說：「把這些東西拿出去！不要把我父的殿當作市場。」祂的門徒想起聖經上說：「我對你的殿充滿炙熱的愛。」

耶穌進入聖殿，趕走裡面做買賣的人，又推翻兌換錢幣之人的桌子和賣鴿子之人的凳子。耶穌斥責他們說：「聖經上說，『我的殿必稱為禱告的殿。』你們竟把它變成了賊窩。」殿中的瞎子和瘸子都來到耶穌面前，祂便醫好了他們。祭司長和律法教師看見祂所行的奇事，又聽見小孩子在聖殿裡高聲喊著：「和散那歸於大衛的後裔！」便十分惱怒。他們責問耶穌說：「你聽見這些人說的了嗎？」耶穌說：「我聽見了。聖經上說，『你使孩童和嬰兒口中發出頌讚』，你們沒有讀過嗎？」

耶穌進入聖殿趕走裡面做買賣的人，並對他們說：「聖經上說，『我的殿要成為禱告的殿』，你們竟把它變成了賊窩。」祂天天在聖殿教導人，祭司長、律法教師和百姓的官長都想殺祂，

就可以把那些收成換成銀錢帶去。在那裡，你們可以隨意買牛、羊、淡酒或烈酒，然後一家人在你們的上帝耶和華面前吃喝快樂。
