After this, Jesus and his disciples went out into the Judean countryside, where he spent some time with them, and baptized.Now John also was baptizing at Aenon near Salim, because there was plenty of water, and people were coming and being baptized.( This was before John was put in prison.) (niv)

They arranged to meet Paul on a certain day, and came in even larger numbers to the place where he was staying. He witnessed to them from morning till evening, explaining about the kingdom of God, and from the Law of Moses and from the Prophets he tried to persuade them about Jesus. (niv)
