彼所為善者、等諸蒺藜、彼所為義者、同於荊棘、先知所言之災、其日伊邇、庶民潰亂、

彼所謂善者、等諸荊棘、彼所謂正者、同於蒺藜、或作彼之最善義者惟如荊棘彼之最正直者但如蒺藜爾中先知所言之日、即爾受罰之日速至、是時眾俱荒亂、

The best of them is like a brier, the most upright worse than a thorn hedge. The day God visits you has come, the day your watchmen sound the alarm. Now is the time of your confusion.

The best of these people are as harmful as thorns. The most honest of them are even worse. God has come to punish you. The time your prophets warned you about has come. Panic has taken hold of you.

Even the best of them is like a brier; the most honest is as dangerous as a hedge of thorns. But your judgment day is coming swiftly now. Your time of punishment is here, a time of confusion.

因为这是万军之主耶和华使异象谷混乱、践踏、烦扰的日子；城墙被攻破，哀声达到山上。

你，人子啊，虽有荆棘和蒺藜在你那里，你又住在蝎子中间，总不要怕他们，也不要怕他们的话；他们虽是悖逆之家，但你不要怕他们的话，也不要因他们的脸色惊惶。

但无赖全都像被丢弃的荆棘；它们不能用手去拿；碰它们的人必须用铁器和枪杆，它们必在那里被火烧尽。”

到降罚的日子，灾祸从远方临到，那时，你们要怎么办呢？你们要向谁逃奔求救呢？你们的财宝要存放何处呢？

你要告诉他们说：‘主耶和华如此说：我必令这俗语止息，以色列中不再有人引用这俗语。’你却要对他们说：‘日子临近，一切的异象都必应验。’从此以后，以色列家不再有虚假的异象和奉承的占卜。

他们行可憎之事，应当羞愧；然而他们却一点也不觉得羞愧，又不知羞耻。因此，他们必与仆倒的人一样仆倒；我惩罚他们的时候，他们必跌倒。这是耶和华说的。

松树长出，代替荆棘；番石榴长出，代替蒺藜。这要为耶和华留名，作为永不磨灭的证据。

偶像都是虚无的，是迷惑人的作品，到受罚的时刻必被除灭。

“日月星辰要显出预兆，地上的邦国也有困苦，因海中波浪的响声而惶惶不安。

降罚的日子近了，报应的时候已经来到。以色列必知道，先知愚昧，受灵感动的人狂妄，皆因你多多作恶，大怀怨恨。以法莲替我的神守望；至于先知，他所到之处都有捕鸟人的罗网，在他神的家中也遭人怀恨。

他说：“阿摩司，你看见什么？”我说：“一筐夏天的果子。”耶和华对我说：“我子民以色列的结局到了，我必不再宽恕他们。

你们像杂乱的荆棘，像喝醉了的人，又如枯干的碎秸，全然烧灭。

这块田地若长荆棘和蒺藜，必被废弃，近于诅咒，结局就是焚烧。
