Then my enemy will see it and will be covered with shame, she who said to me,“ Where is the Lord your God?” My eyes will see her downfall; even now she will be trampled underfoot like mire in the streets.

Our enemies will see it too. And they will be put to shame. After all, they said to us,‘ Where is the Lord your God?’ But we will see them destroyed. Soon they will be stomped on like mud in the streets.”

Then my enemy will see, and shame will cover her who said to me,“ Where is the Lord your God?” My eyes will look upon her; now she will be trampled down like the mire of the streets.

Then my enemies will see that the Lord is on my side. They will be ashamed that they taunted me, saying,“ So where is the Lord— that God of yours?” With my own eyes I will see their downfall; they will be trampled like mud in the streets.

Then my enemy will see, and she will be covered with shame, the one who said to me,“ Where is the LORD your God?” My eyes will look at her in triumph; at that time she will be trampled like mud in the streets.

Then my enemy will see, and she will be covered with shame, the one who said to me,“ Where is the Lord your God?” My eyes will look at her in triumph; at that time she will be trampled like mud in the streets.

Then[ she that is] mine enemy shall see[ it], and shame shall cover her which said unto me, Where is the LORD thy God? mine eyes shall behold her: now shall she be trodden down as the mire of the streets.

When my enemies see this, they will be covered with shame. They say to me,“ Where is the LORD your God?” I will gloat over them. Then they will be trampled down like mud in the streets.

Then my enemy will see it, and shame will cover her who said to me, where is Yahweh your God? Then my enemy will see me and will cover her shame. Now she will be trodden down like the mire of the streets.

Together they will be like warriors in battle trampling their enemy into the mud of the streets. They will fight because the Lord is with them, and they will put the enemy horsemen to shame. (niv)

Let the priests, who minister before the Lord, weep between the portico and the altar. Let them say,“ Spare your people, Lord. Do not make your inheritance an object of scorn, a byword among the nations. Why should they say among the peoples,‘ Where is their God?’” (niv)

“ We are disgraced, for we have been insulted and shame covers our faces, because foreigners have entered the holy places of the Lord’s house.” (niv)

May all who gloat over my distress be put to shame and confusion; may all who exalt themselves over me be clothed with shame and disgrace. (niv)

I will never be a widow or suffer the loss of children.’Both of these will overtake you in a moment, on a single day: loss of children and widowhood. The hand of the Lord will rest on this mountain; but Moab will be trampled in their land as straw is trampled down in the manure.They will stretch out their hands in it, as swimmers stretch out their hands to swim. Why should the nations say,“ Where is their God?” Before our eyes, make known among the nations that you avenge the outpoured blood of your servants. (niv)

May my accusers be clothed with disgrace and wrapped in shame as in a cloak. (niv)

“ See, I will make you into a threshing sledge, new and sharp, with many teeth. You will thresh the mountains and crush them, and reduce the hills to chaff.You will winnow them, the wind will pick them up, and a gale will blow them away. But you will rejoice in the Lord and glory in the Holy One of Israel. (niv)

Because of the violence against your brother Jacob, you will be covered with shame; you will be destroyed forever. (niv)

An attacker advances against you, Nineveh. “ Say to Hezekiah king of Judah: Do not let the god you depend on deceive you when he says,‘ Jerusalem will not be given into the hands of the king of Assyria.’Surely you have heard what the kings of Assyria have done to all the countries, destroying them completely. The righteous will be glad when they are avenged, when they dip their feet in the blood of the wicked. (niv)

Then you will trample on the wicked; they will be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day when I act,” says the Lord Almighty. (niv)

You will see it with your own eyes and say,‘ Great is the Lord— even beyond the borders of Israel!’ (niv)

Why are your garments red, like those of one treading the winepress?“ I have trodden the winepress alone; from the nations no one was with me. I trampled them in my anger and trod them down in my wrath; their blood spattered my garments, and I stained all my clothing. (niv)

He humbles those who dwell on high, he lays the lofty city low; he levels it to the ground and casts it down to the dust.Feet trample it down— the feet of the oppressed, the footsteps of the poor. (niv)

Babylon will suddenly fall and be broken. Wail over her! Get balm for her pain; perhaps she can be healed.“‘ We would have healed Babylon, but she cannot be healed; let us leave her and each go to our own land, for her judgment reaches to the skies, it rises as high as the heavens.’“‘ The Lord has vindicated us; come, let us tell in Zion what the Lord our God has done.’ (niv)

This is what your Sovereign Lord says, your God, who defends his people:“ See, I have taken out of your hand the cup that made you stagger; from that cup, the goblet of my wrath, you will never drink again.I will put it into the hands of your tormentors, who said to you,‘ Fall prostrate that we may walk on you.’ And you made your back like the ground, like a street to be walked on.” (niv)

He trusts in God. Let God rescue him now if he wants him, for he said,‘ I am the Son of God.’” (niv)

“ Before your eyes I will repay Babylon and all who live in Babylonia for all the wrong they have done in Zion,” declares the Lord. (niv)

Daughter Babylon, doomed to destruction, happy is the one who repays you according to what you have done to us.Happy is the one who seizes your infants and dashes them against the rocks. (niv)

One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and said to me,“ Come, I will show you the punishment of the great prostitute, who sits by many waters.With her the kings of the earth committed adultery, and the inhabitants of the earth were intoxicated with the wine of her adulteries.”Then the angel carried me away in the Spirit into a wilderness. There I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that was covered with blasphemous names and had seven heads and ten horns.The woman was dressed in purple and scarlet, and was glittering with gold, precious stones and pearls. She held a golden cup in her hand, filled with abominable things and the filth of her adulteries.The name written on her forehead was a mystery: babylon the great the mother of prostitutes and of the abominations of the earth.I saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of God’s holy people, the blood of those who bore testimony to Jesus. When I saw her, I was greatly astonished.Then the angel said to me:“ Why are you astonished?
