彼將以刃毀亞述地、及甯錄地之關、亞述人入我地、踐我境時、彼必救我、

亞述人侵伐我地、蹂躪我境、彼必以鋒刃攻亞述之國、寧綠之境、以免我民於患難。

必以鋒刃攻亞述地、以戈矛伐寧綠國、亞述人如入我地、履我境、彼必救我脫於其難、

who will rule the land of Assyria with the sword, the land of Nimrod with drawn sword. He will deliver us from the Assyrians when they invade our land and march across our borders.

They will use their swords to rule over Assyria. They’ll rule the land of Nimrod with swords that are ready to strike. The Assyrians will march across our borders and attack our land. But the promised ruler will save us from them.

they shall shepherd the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod at its entrances; and he shall deliver us from the Assyrian when he comes into our land and treads within our border.

They will rule Assyria with drawn swords and enter the gates of the land of Nimrod. He will rescue us from the Assyrians when they pour over the borders to invade our land.

就是在我地上打折亚述人，在我山上将他践踏。他加的轭必离开以色列人；他加的重担必离开他们的肩头。

古实又生宁录，他为世上英雄之首。他在耶和华面前是个英勇的猎户，所以俗语说：“像宁录在耶和华面前是个英勇的猎户。”他国的起头是巴别、以力、亚甲、甲尼，都在示拿地。他从那地出来往亚述去，建造尼尼微、利河伯、迦拉，

以色列王比加年间，亚述王提革拉毗列色来夺了以云、亚伯伯玛迦、亚挪、基低斯、夏琐、基列、加利利，和拿弗他利全地，将这些地方的居民都掳到亚述去了。

“所以，耶和华论亚述王如此说：‘他必不得来到这城，也不在这里射箭，不得拿盾牌到城前，也不筑垒攻城。他从哪条路来，必从那条路回去，必不得来到这城。这是耶和华说的。因我为自己的缘故，又为我仆人大卫的缘故，必保护拯救这城。’”当夜，耶和华的使者出去，在亚述营中杀了十八万五千人。清早有人起来，一看，都是死尸了。

希西家王第四年，就是以色列王以拉的儿子何细亚第七年，亚述王撒缦以色上来围困撒玛利亚；过了三年就攻取了城。希西家第六年，以色列王何细亚第九年，撒玛利亚被攻取了。亚述王将以色列人掳到亚述，把他们安置在哈腊与歌散的哈博河边，并玛代人的城邑；都因他们不听从耶和华他们神的话，违背他的约，就是耶和华仆人摩西吩咐他们所当守的。希西家王十四年，亚述王西拿基立上来攻击犹大的一切坚固城，将城攻取。犹大王希西家差人往拉吉去见亚述王，说：“我有罪了，求你离开我；凡你罚我的，我必承当。”于是亚述王罚犹大王希西家银子三百他连得，金子三十他连得。希西家就把耶和华殿里和王宫府库里所有的银子都给了他。

狮子的洞和少壮狮子喂养之处在哪里呢？公狮母狮小狮游行、无人惊吓之地在哪里呢？公狮为小狮撕碎许多食物，为母狮掐死活物，把撕碎的、掐死的充满它的洞穴。万军之耶和华说：“我与你为敌，必将你的车辆焚烧成烟，刀剑也必吞灭你的少壮狮子。我必从地上除灭你所撕碎的，你使者的声音必不再听见。”祸哉！这流人血的城，充满谎诈和强暴，抢夺的事总不止息。鞭声响亮，车轮轰轰，马匹踢跳，车辆奔腾，马兵争先，刀剑发光，枪矛闪烁，被杀的甚多，尸首成了大堆，尸骸无数，人碰着而跌倒，

拯救我们脱离仇敌和一切恨我们之人的手，

外邦人必将他们带回本土；以色列家必在耶和华的地上得外邦人为仆婢，也要掳掠先前掳掠他们的，辖制先前欺压他们的。

亚述王撒缦以色上来攻击何细亚，何细亚就服侍他，给他进贡。何细亚背叛，差人去见埃及王梭，不照往年所行的与亚述王进贡。亚述王知道了，就把他锁禁，囚在监里。亚述王上来攻击以色列遍地，上到撒玛利亚，围困三年。

祸哉！你这毁灭人的，自己倒不被毁灭；行事诡诈的，人倒不以诡诈待你。你毁灭罢休了，自己必被毁灭；你行完了诡诈，人必以诡诈待你。

所以耶和华使亚述王的将帅来攻击他们，用铙钩钩住玛拿西，用铜链锁住他，带到巴比伦去。

叫我们既从仇敌手中被救出来，

亚述是我怒气的棍，手中拿我恼恨的杖。我要打发他攻击亵渎的国民，吩咐他攻击我所恼怒的百姓，抢财为掳物，夺货为掠物，将他们践踏，像街上的泥土一样。然而，他不是这样的意思；他心也不这样打算。他心里倒想毁灭，剪除不少的国。他说：“我的臣仆岂不都是王吗？迦勒挪岂不像迦基米施吗？哈马岂不像亚珥拔吗？撒玛利亚岂不像大马士革吗？我手已经够到有偶像的国；这些国雕刻的偶像过于耶路撒冷和撒玛利亚的偶像。我怎样待撒玛利亚和其中的偶像，岂不照样待耶路撒冷和其中的偶像吗？”主在锡安山和耶路撒冷成就他一切工作的时候，主说：“我必罚亚述王自大的心和他高傲眼目的荣耀。”

耶和华必伸手攻击北方，毁灭亚述，使尼尼微荒凉，又干旱如旷野。
