Writhe in agony, Daughter Zion, like a woman in labor, for now you must leave the city to camp in the open field. You will go to Babylon; there you will be rescued. There the Lord will redeem you out of the hand of your enemies.

People of Zion, groan with pain. Cry out like a woman having a baby. Soon you must leave your city. You must camp in the open fields. You will have to go to the land of Babylon. But that’s where the Lord will save you. There he will set you free from the power of your enemies.

我實實在在地告訴你們，你們將痛哭、哀號，世人卻要歡喜；你們將憂愁，然而你們的憂愁將變為喜樂。婦人分娩時都會痛苦不已，但孩子生下來後，她就會因為這世界添了一個新生命而充滿歡樂，忘掉了生產的痛苦。同樣，現在你們有憂愁，但到我再見你們的時候，你們的心必歡喜，而且這份喜樂是誰也奪不去的。

但那婦人得到一對巨鷹的翅膀，使她能飛到曠野，去上帝為她預備的地方避難，在那裡被照顧三年半。

所以，耶和華就差遣亞述王的將領來攻擊他們，他們捉住瑪拿西，用鉤子鉤著他，用銅鏈鎖著他押往巴比倫。

城被攻破，城裡的所有士兵便在夜間穿過御花園，從兩城牆中間的門逃往亞拉巴。當時迦勒底人仍四面包圍著城。

「錫安還沒有陣痛就分娩，還沒有感到產痛就生下男嬰。誰曾聽過看過這樣的事？一個國家能一日而生嗎？一個民族能在剎那間產生嗎？然而錫安剛開始分娩就生下了兒女。」耶和華說：「我既使她臨產，難道不讓她分娩嗎？」你的上帝說：「我既使她生產，難道封閉她的胎嗎？

我要把你從惡人手中救出，從殘暴之徒的權勢下贖回。」

住在巴比倫城的人啊，快逃到錫安吧！』」萬軍之耶和華說，祂在彰顯榮耀之後要差遣我去那些擄掠你們的國家，因為誰侵害你們，就是侵害祂的瞳人。看啊，祂要揮手攻擊他們，使他們被自己的奴隸擄掠。那時你們便知道是萬軍之耶和華差遣了我。

波斯王塞魯士元年，耶和華為要應驗祂藉耶利米所說的話，就感動波斯王塞魯士，使他下詔通告全國：「波斯王塞魯士如此說，『天上的上帝耶和華已把天下萬國都賜給我，祂吩咐我在猶大的耶路撒冷為祂建造殿宇。

「然而，以色列的人數必像海沙一樣量不盡、數不完。從前我在什麼地方對他們說『你們不是我的子民』，將來也要在那裡對他們說『你們是永活上帝的兒女』。

我的仇敵啊，你們不要對我幸災樂禍！我雖跌倒，但必再爬起來；我雖坐在黑暗裡，但耶和華必做我的光。我得罪了耶和華，所以要忍受祂的懲罰，直到祂為我辯護，替我伸冤。祂必領我進入光明，我必親睹祂的公義。從前嘲笑我說「你的上帝耶和華在哪裡」的仇敵看見這事，都必滿面羞愧。我必親眼看見他們遭到報應，他們要像街上的泥土一樣被人踐踏。以色列啊，終有一日你會重建自己的城牆。到那日，你必擴張自己的疆域。那日，從亞述到埃及的各城，從埃及到幼發拉底河，從天涯到海角，人們都要到你這裡來。然而，大地要因地上居民的罪惡而荒涼。

沒有被殺戮的人都被擄往巴比倫，做他和他子孫的奴隸，直到波斯帝國的時代。

祂救他們逃脫敵人的追趕，從仇敵的手中救贖了他們。
