先见必抱愧，得默示的人要蒙羞；他们都必掩着上唇，因为没有神的答覆。

The seers will be ashamed and the diviners disgraced. They will all cover their faces because there is no answer from God.”

Those who see visions will be put to shame. Those who try to figure out what is going to happen will be dishonored. All of them will cover their faces. I will not answer them.”

那日，凡作先知說預言的必因所論的異象羞愧，不再穿毛皮外袍哄騙人。

我使虛謊的預兆失效，愚弄占卜的人，使智慧人退後，使他的知識變為愚拙；

「患有痲瘋災病的人，他的衣服要撕裂，也要蓬頭散髮，遮住上唇，喊着說：『不潔淨！不潔淨！』

掃羅求問耶和華，耶和華卻不藉夢，或烏陵，或先知回答他。

那時，你們要照我所做的去做。你們不可摀着鬍鬚，也不可吃一般人的食物。

「看哪，日子將到，我必命饑荒降在地上；人飢餓非因無餅，乾渴非因無水，而是因不聽耶和華的話。」這是主耶和華說的。

儘管使用從幼年就施行的魔符和眾多的邪術吧！或許有些幫助，或許可以致勝。你籌劃太多，以致疲倦。讓那些觀天象，看星宿，在初一說預言的都起來，救你脫離所要臨到你的事！看哪，他們要像碎稭被火焚燒，無法救自己脫離火焰的魔掌；沒有炭火可以取暖，你也不能坐在火旁。

只可嘆息，不可出聲，不可辦理喪事；裹上頭巾，腳上穿鞋，不可摀着鬍鬚，也不可吃一般人的食物。」

掃羅求問神說：「我可以下去追趕非利士人嗎？你把他們交在以色列人手裏嗎？」這日神沒有回答他。

從前以色列中，若有人去求問神，就這麼說：「來，我們到先見那裏去吧！」因現在的先知，從前稱為先見。

列國看見，雖大有勢力仍覺慚愧；他們必用手摀口，掩耳不聽。

因為這瘡，術士在摩西面前站立不住，術士和所有埃及人的身上都生了瘡。

從前雅尼和佯庇怎樣反對摩西，這等人也怎樣抵擋真理；他們的心地敗壞，信仰經不起考驗。然而，他們沒有進步，因為他們的愚昧必在眾人面前顯露出來，像那兩人一樣。

我們看不見自己的標幟，不再有先知，我們當中也無人知道這災禍要到幾時。

撒母耳對掃羅說：「你為甚麼攪擾我，招我上來呢？」掃羅說：「我十分為難，因為非利士人攻擊我，神離開我，不再藉先知或夢回答我。因此請你上來，好指示我應當怎樣做。」

術士也用邪術要照樣產生蚊子，卻做不成。於是人和牲畜的身上都有了蚊子。術士對法老說：「這是神的手指。」法老心裏剛硬，不聽摩西和亞倫，正如耶和華所說的。

你們若不將夢告訴我，只有一個辦法對待你們；因為你們彼此串通，向我胡言亂語，要等候情勢改變。現在，你們要將夢告訴我，讓我知道你們真能為我解夢。」迦勒底人回答王說：「世上沒有人能解釋王的事情；從來沒有君王、大臣、掌權者向術士、巫師，或迦勒底人問過這樣的事。王所問的事很難，除了不與血肉之軀同住的神，沒有人能在王面前解釋。」
