Should this be said, O house of Jacob? Has the Lord grown impatient? Are these his deeds? Do not my words do good to him who walks uprightly?

雅各家啊，岂可说耶和华的心不忍耐吗？这些事是他所行的吗？我耶和华的言语岂不是与行动正直的人有益吗？

雅各家啊，可这么说吗？耶和华没有耐心吗？这些事是他所行的吗？我的言语岂不是与行动正直的人有益吗？

雅各家啊，可这么说吗？耶和华没有耐心吗？这些事是他所行的吗？我的言语岂不是与行动正直的人有益吗？

雅各家啊，你们怎能说：“耶和华已经不耐烦了吗？祂会做这些事吗？”“我的话岂不有益于行为正直的人吗？

雅各家啊！人怎可说：“耶和华的心着急，（按照《马索拉文本》，“耶和华的心着急”直译是“耶和华的灵是短的吗”）不能忍耐呢？这些是他的作为吗？”我耶和华的话对行事正直的人不是有益的吗？

雅各家啊，豈可說耶和華的心不忍耐嗎？這些事是他所行的嗎？我－耶和華的言語豈不是與行動正直的人有益嗎？

雅各家啊，可這麼說嗎？耶和華沒有耐心嗎？這些事是他所行的嗎？我的言語豈不是與行動正直的人有益嗎？

雅各家啊，可這麼說嗎？耶和華沒有耐心嗎？這些事是他所行的嗎？我的言語豈不是與行動正直的人有益嗎？

雅各家啊，你們怎能說：「耶和華已經不耐煩了嗎？祂會做這些事嗎？」「我的話豈不有益於行為正直的人嗎？

雅各家啊，是不是可以說：永恆主心裏着急、不能忍耐呢？或是說這是他作事的作風呢？他的話豈不是對行為正直的人有益的麼？

雅各家歟、豈可曰耶和華之神褊急乎、此事豈彼所為、我言非有益於正行者乎、

吁哉、爾雅各之家、何出此言、耶和華之神、豈不甚盛、斯災豈耶和華所常行乎、為義之人、必以我言為有益、

雅各族歟、豈可言主易於震怒乎、或作爾稱為雅各族者歟主豈不含忍乎斯事豈主所常行乎、主曾言、我言必於行正直者有益、

You descendants of Jacob, should it be said,“ Does the Lord become impatient? Does he do such things?”“ Do not my words do good to the one whose ways are upright?

People of Jacob, should anyone say,“ The Lord is patient, so he wouldn’t do things like that”? The Lord replies,“ What I promise brings good things to those who lead honest lives.

Should you talk that way, O family of Israel? Will the Lord’s Spirit have patience with such behavior? If you would do what is right, you would find my words comforting.

House of Jacob, should it be asked,“ Is the Spirit of the LORD impatient? Are these the things he does?” Don’t my words bring good to the one who walks uprightly?

Is it being said, house of Jacob:‘ Is the Spirit of the Lord impatient? Are these His works?’ Do My words not do good For the one walking rightly?

You who are named the house of Jacob:“ Is the Spirit of the Lord restricted? Are these His doings? Do not My words do good To him who walks uprightly?

Shall it be said, O house of Jacob, Is the Spirit of Jehovah straitened? are these his doings? Do not my words do good to him that walketh uprightly?

House of Jacob, should it be asked,“ Is the Spirit of the Lord impatient? Are these the things He does?” Don’t My words bring good to the one who walks uprightly?

O[ thou that art] named the house of Jacob, is the spirit of the LORD straitened?[ are] these his doings? do not my words do good to him that walketh uprightly?

Does the family of Jacob say,‘ The LORD’s patience can’t be exhausted– he would never do such things’? To be sure, my commands bring a reward for those who obey them,

Shall it be said, O house of Jacob:“ Is Yahweh’s Spirit angry? Are these his doings? Don’t my words do good to him who walks blamelessly?”

For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor. No good thing does he withhold from those who walk uprightly.

He who walks blamelessly and does what is right and speaks truth in his heart;

Your words were found, and I ate them, and your words became to me a joy and the delight of my heart, for I am called by your name, O Lord, God of hosts.

Why, when I came, was there no man; why, when I called, was there no one to answer? Is my hand shortened, that it cannot redeem? Or have I no power to deliver? Behold, by my rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a desert; their fish stink for lack of water and die of thirst.

They answered him,“ Abraham is our father.” Jesus said to them,“ If you were Abraham’s children, you would be doing the works Abraham did,

You are not restricted by us, but you are restricted in your own affections.

Hear this, O house of Jacob, who are called by the name of Israel, and who came from the waters of Judah, who swear by the name of the Lord and confess the God of Israel, but not in truth or right.For they call themselves after the holy city, and stay themselves on the God of Israel; the Lord of hosts is his name.

I have more understanding than all my teachers, for your testimonies are my meditation.I understand more than the aged, for I keep your precepts.I hold back my feet from every evil way, in order to keep your word.I do not turn aside from your rules, for you have taught me.How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth!

Then he said to me,“ This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of hosts.

Hear this, you heads of the house of Jacob and rulers of the house of Israel, who detest justice and make crooked all that is straight,

For no one is a Jew who is merely one outwardly, nor is circumcision outward and physical.But a Jew is one inwardly, and circumcision is a matter of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the letter. His praise is not from man but from God.

The way of the Lord is a stronghold to the blameless, but destruction to evildoers.

Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save, or his ear dull, that it cannot hear;but your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you so that he does not hear.

Whoever walks in integrity will be delivered, but he who is crooked in his ways will suddenly fall.

“ Cry aloud; do not hold back; lift up your voice like a trumpet; declare to my people their transgression, to the house of Jacob their sins.

The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple;the precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes;the fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; the rules of the Lord are true, and righteous altogether.More to be desired are they than gold, even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and drippings of the honeycomb.Moreover, by them is your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward.

he stores up sound wisdom for the upright; he is a shield to those who walk in integrity,

having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people.

Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but he who makes his ways crooked will be found out.

Whoever is wise, let him understand these things; whoever is discerning, let him know them; for the ways of the Lord are right, and the upright walk in them, but transgressors stumble in them.

And the Lord said to Moses,“ Is the Lord’s hand shortened? Now you shall see whether my word will come true for you or not.”

their heart is unfeeling like fat, but I delight in your law.It is good for me that I was afflicted, that I might learn your statutes.

Whoever walks in uprightness fears the Lord, but he who is devious in his ways despises him.

But it is not as though the word of God has failed. For not all who are descended from Israel belong to Israel,and not all are children of Abraham because they are his offspring, but“ Through Isaac shall your offspring be named.”This means that it is not the children of the flesh who are the children of God, but the children of the promise are counted as offspring.For this is what the promise said:“ About this time next year I will return, and Sarah shall have a son.”And not only so, but also when Rebekah had conceived children by one man, our forefather Isaac,though they were not yet born and had done nothing either good or bad— in order that God’s purpose of election might continue, not because of works but because of him who calls—she was told,“ The older will serve the younger.”As it is written,“ Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated.”

Hear the word of the Lord, O house of Jacob, and all the clans of the house of Israel.

[ Teth] You have dealt well with your servant, O Lord, according to your word.

Did that which is good, then, bring death to me? By no means! It was sin, producing death in me through what is good, in order that sin might be shown to be sin, and through the commandment might become sinful beyond measure.

If your law had not been my delight, I would have perished in my affliction.I will never forget your precepts, for by them you have given me life.

Bear fruit in keeping with repentance.
