Arise and go, For this is no place of rest Because of the uncleanness that brings on destruction, A painful destruction.

爾起而往、此非爾安息之所、污穢必敗壞之、其敗壞甚矣、

爾行穢濁、污衊斯土、故不得安居、當往他方、遭禍不淺、

爾曹當起而往、此非爾安居之地、因污穢故、必翦滅爾、翦滅殆盡、

Get up, go away! For this is not your resting place, because it is defiled, it is ruined, beyond all remedy.

Get up! Leave this land! It is no longer your resting place. You have made it‘ unclean.’ You have completely destroyed it.

Arise and go, for this is no place to rest, because of uncleanness that destroys with a grievous destruction.

Up! Begone! This is no longer your land and home, for you have filled it with sin and ruined it completely.

Get up and leave, for this is not your place of rest because defilement brings destruction— a grievous destruction!

“ Arise and depart, For this is not your rest; Because it is defiled, it shall destroy, Yes, with utter destruction.

Arise ye, and depart; for this is not your resting- place; because of uncleanness that destroyeth, even with a grievous destruction.

In the days of Pekah king of Israel, Tiglath pileser the king of Assyria came and took Ijon, Abel beth maacah, Janoah, Kedesh, Hazor, Gilead, and Galilee, all the land of Naphtali; and he led their populations into exile to Assyria.

For this is what the Lord says:“ Behold, I am slinging out the inhabitants of the land At this time, And I will cause them distress, So that they may be found.”

I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you today, that you will certainly perish quickly from the land where you are going over the Jordan to take possession of it. You will not live long on it, but will be utterly destroyed.

But it will come about that just as all the good words which the Lord your God spoke to you have come upon you, so the Lord will bring upon you all the warnings, until He has eliminated you from this good land which the Lord your God has given you.When you violate the covenant of the Lord your God, which He commanded you, and you go and serve other gods and bow down to them, then the anger of the Lord will burn against you, and you will perish quickly from the good land which He has given you.”

I declare to you today that you will certainly perish. You will not prolong your days in the land where you are crossing the Jordan to enter and take possession of it.

Therefore, we must fear if, while a promise remains of entering His rest, any one of you may seem to have come short of it.For indeed we have had good news preached to us, just as they also did; but the word they heard did not benefit them, because they were not united with those who listened with faith.For we who have believed enter that rest, just as He has said,“ As I swore in My anger, They certainly shall not enter My rest,” although His works were finished from the foundation of the world.For He has said somewhere concerning the seventh day:“ And God rested on the seventh day from all His works”;and again in this passage,“ They certainly shall not enter My rest.”Therefore, since it remains for some to enter it, and those who previously had good news preached to them failed to enter because of disobedience,He again sets a certain day,“ Today,” saying through David after so long a time just as has been said before,“ Today if you hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts.”For if Joshua had given them rest, He would not have spoken of another day after that.Consequently, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God.

then I will cut Israel off from the land which I have given them, and the house which I have consecrated for My name, I will expel from My sight. So Israel will become a saying and an object of derision among all peoples.

‘ Do not defile yourselves by any of these things; for by all these things the nations which I am driving out from you have become defiled.For the land has become defiled, therefore I have brought its punishment upon it, so the land has vomited out its inhabitants.But as for you, you are to keep My statutes and My judgments, and you shall not do any of these abominations, neither the native, nor the stranger who resides among you( for the people of the land who were there before you did all these abominations, and the land has become defiled),so that the land will not vomit you out should you defile it, as it has vomited out the nation which was there before you.

then I will uproot you from My land which I have given you, and this house which I have consecrated for My name I will cast out of My sight; and I will make it a proverb and an object of scorn among all peoples.

‘ You are therefore to keep all My statutes and all My ordinances, and do them, so that the land to which I am bringing you to live will not vomit you out.Furthermore, you shall not follow the customs of the nation which I am going to drive out before you, because they did all these things; therefore I have felt disgust for them.So I have said to you,“ You are to take possession of their land, and I Myself will give it to you to possess, a land flowing with milk and honey.” I am the Lord your God, who has singled you out from the peoples.You are therefore to make a distinction between the clean animal and the unclean, and between the unclean bird and the clean; and you shall not make yourselves detestable by animal or by bird, or by anything that crawls on the ground, which I have distinguished for you as unclean.So you are to be holy to Me, for I the Lord am holy; and I have singled you out from the peoples to be Mine.

For a voice of wailing is heard from Zion:‘ How devastated we are! We are put to great shame, For we have abandoned the land Because they have torn down our homes.’ ”

Yes, I will have people— My people Israel— walk on you and possess you, so that you will become their inheritance and never again bereave them of children.’“ The Lord God says this:‘ Since they say to you,“ You are a devourer of people and have bereaved your nation of children,”for that reason you will no longer devour people and no longer bereave your nation of children,’ declares the Lord God.

In the ninth year of Hoshea, the king of Assyria captured Samaria and led the people of Israel into exile to Assyria, and settled them in Halah and Habor, on the river of Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes.

“ Raise your eyes to the bare heights and see; Where have you not been violated? You have sat for them by the roads Like an Arab in the desert, And you have defiled a land With your prostitution and your wickedness.
