Otherwise, they will have torn the new garment, and the patch from the new will not match the old.And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the new wine will burst the skins; the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined.No, new wine must be poured into new wineskins. (niv)

Otherwise, the new piece will pull away from the old, making the tear worse.And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. A man was there by the name of Zacchaeus; he was a chief tax collector and was wealthy.He wanted to see who Jesus was, but because he was short he could not see over the crowd.So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore-fig tree to see him, since Jesus was coming that way.When Jesus reached the spot, he looked up and said to him,“ Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your house today.”So he came down at once and welcomed him gladly.All the people saw this and began to mutter,“ He has gone to be the guest of a sinner.”But Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord,“ Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount.”Jesus said to him,“ Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham.For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” (niv)

As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen.“ Come, follow me,” Jesus said,“ and I will send you out to fish for people.”At once they left their nets and followed him.Going on from there, he saw two other brothers, James son of Zebedee and his brother John. They were in a boat with their father Zebedee, preparing their nets. Jesus called them,and immediately they left the boat and their father and followed him. (niv)

So Elijah went from there and found Elisha son of Shaphat. He was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen, and he himself was driving the twelfth pair. Elijah went up to him and threw his cloak around him.Elisha then left his oxen and ran after Elijah.“ Let me kiss my father and mother goodbye,” he said,“ and then I will come with you.”“ Go back,” Elijah replied.“ What have I done to you?”So Elisha left him and went back. He took his yoke of oxen and slaughtered them. He burned the plowing equipment to cook the meat and gave it to the people, and they ate. Then he set out to follow Elijah and became his servant. Now the tax collectors and sinners were all gathering around to hear Jesus.But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law muttered,“ This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.” (niv)

to reveal his Son in me so that I might preach him among the Gentiles, my immediate response was not to consult any human being. (niv)

“ Which of the two did what his father wanted?”“ The first,” they answered. Jesus said to them,“ Truly I tell you, the tax collectors and the prostitutes are entering the kingdom of God ahead of you.For John came to you to show you the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him, but the tax collectors and the prostitutes did. And even after you saw this, you did not repent and believe him. (niv)
