Two blind men were sitting beside the road. When they heard that Jesus was coming that way, they began shouting,“ Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!”“ Be quiet!” the crowd yelled at them. But they only shouted louder,“ Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!”

“ Lord, have mercy on my son. He has seizures and suffers terribly. He often falls into the fire or into the water.

the blind see, the lame walk, those with leprosy are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised to life, and the Good News is being preached to the poor.”

So he began shouting,“ Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”“ Be quiet!” the people in front yelled at him. But he only shouted louder,“ Son of David, have mercy on me!”

Then they reached Jericho, and as Jesus and his disciples left town, a large crowd followed him. A blind beggar named Bartimaeus( son of Timaeus) was sitting beside the road.When Bartimaeus heard that Jesus of Nazareth was nearby, he began to shout,“ Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”“ Be quiet!” many of the people yelled at him. But he only shouted louder,“ Son of David, have mercy on me!”

Blessings on the coming Kingdom of our ancestor David! Praise God in highest heaven!”

Then, surrounded by the Pharisees, Jesus asked them a question:“ What do you think about the Messiah? Whose son is he?” They replied,“ He is the son of David.”Jesus responded,“ Then why does David, speaking under the inspiration of the Spirit, call the Messiah‘ my Lord’? For David said,‘ The Lord said to my Lord, Sit in the place of honor at my right hand until I humble your enemies beneath your feet.’Since David called the Messiah‘ my Lord,’ how can the Messiah be his son?”

Jesus was in the center of the procession, and the people all around him were shouting,“ Praise God for the Son of David! Blessings on the one who comes in the name of the Lord! Praise God in highest heaven!”

This is a record of the ancestors of Jesus the Messiah, a descendant of David and of Abraham:

For the Scriptures clearly state that the Messiah will be born of the royal line of David, in Bethlehem, the village where King David was born.”

At that very time, Jesus cured many people of their diseases, illnesses, and evil spirits, and he restored sight to many who were blind.

When they arrived at Bethsaida, some people brought a blind man to Jesus, and they begged him to touch the man and heal him.Jesus took the blind man by the hand and led him out of the village. Then, spitting on the man’s eyes, he laid his hands on him and asked,“ Can you see anything now?”

The spirit often throws him into the fire or into water, trying to kill him. Have mercy on us and help us, if you can.”

Later, as Jesus was teaching the people in the Temple, he asked,“ Why do the teachers of religious law claim that the Messiah is the son of David?For David himself, speaking under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, said,‘ The Lord said to my Lord, Sit in the place of honor at my right hand until I humble your enemies beneath your feet.’Since David himself called the Messiah‘ my Lord,’ how can the Messiah be his son?” The large crowd listened to him with great delight.

Then a demon possessed man, who was blind and couldn’t speak, was brought to Jesus. He healed the man so that he could both speak and see.The crowd was amazed and asked,“ Could it be that Jesus is the Son of David, the Messiah?”

The leading priests and the teachers of religious law saw these wonderful miracles and heard even the children in the Temple shouting,“ Praise God for the Son of David.” But the leaders were indignant.

Then Jesus presented them with a question.“ Why is it,” he asked,“ that the Messiah is said to be the son of David?

crying out,“ Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!”

Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob are their ancestors, and Christ himself was an Israelite as far as his human nature is concerned. And he is God, the one who rules over everything and is worthy of eternal praise! Amen.

As Jesus was walking along, he saw a man who had been blind from birth.“ Rabbi,” his disciples asked him,“ why was this man born blind? Was it because of his own sins or his parents’ sins?”“ It was not because of his sins or his parents’ sins,” Jesus answered.“ This happened so the power of God could be seen in him.We must quickly carry out the tasks assigned us by the one who sent us. The night is coming, and then no one can work.But while I am here in the world, I am the light of the world.”Then he spit on the ground, made mud with the saliva, and spread the mud over the blind man’s eyes.He told him,“ Go wash yourself in the pool of Siloam”( Siloam means“ sent”). So the man went and washed and came back seeing!His neighbors and others who knew him as a blind beggar asked each other,“ Isn’t this the man who used to sit and beg?”Some said he was, and others said,“ No, he just looks like him!” But the beggar kept saying,“ Yes, I am the same one!”They asked,“ Who healed you? What happened?”He told them,“ The man they call Jesus made mud and spread it over my eyes and told me,‘ Go to the pool of Siloam and wash yourself.’ So I went and washed, and now I can see!”“ Where is he now?” they asked.“ I don’t know,” he replied.

The Good News is about his Son. In his earthly life he was born into King David’s family line,
