Then a scribe came and said to Him,“ Teacher, I will follow You wherever You go.”

一經生進曰：『夫子任爾所之、我願相從。』

Then a teacher of the law came to him and said,“ Teacher, I will follow you wherever you go.”

Then a teacher of the law came to him. He said,“ Teacher, I will follow you no matter where you go.”

And a scribe came up and said to him,“ Teacher, I will follow you wherever you go.”

Then one of the teachers of religious law said to him,“ Teacher, I will follow you wherever you go.”

A scribe approached him and said,“ Teacher, I will follow you wherever you go.”

Then a certain scribe came and said to Him,“ Teacher, I will follow You wherever You go.”

And there came a scribe, and said unto him, Teacher, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest.

A scribe approached Him and said,“ Teacher, I will follow You wherever You go!”

And a certain scribe came, and said unto him, Master, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest.

Then an expert in the law came to him and said,“ Teacher, I will follow you wherever you go.”

A scribe came, and said to him,“ Teacher, I will follow you wherever you go.”

Simon Peter* said to Him,“ Lord, where are You going?” Jesus answered,“ Where I am going, you cannot follow Me now; but you will follow later.”Peter* said to Him,“ Lord, why can I not follow You right now? I will lay down my life for You.”Jesus* replied,“ Will you lay down your life for Me? Truly, truly I say to you, a rooster will not crow until you deny Me three times.

But he said to Him,“ Lord, I am ready to go with You both to prison and to death!”But He said,“ I tell you, Peter, the rooster will not crow today until you have denied three times that you know Me.”

So then, none of you can be My disciple who does not give up all his own possessions.

As they were going on the road, someone said to Him,“ I will follow You wherever You go.”And Jesus said to him,“ The foxes have holes and the birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head.”And He said to another,“ Follow Me.” But he said,“ Lord, permit me first to go and bury my father.”But He said to him,“ Allow the dead to bury their own dead; but as for you, go and proclaim everywhere the kingdom of God.”

And the scribe said to Him,“ Well said, Teacher; You have truly stated that He is One, and there is no other besides Him;and to love Him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the strength, and to love one’s neighbor as oneself, is much more than all the burnt offerings and sacrifices.”When Jesus saw that he had answered intelligently, He said to him,“ You are not far from the kingdom of God.” And then, no one dared any longer to question Him.

Now large crowds were going along with Him, and He turned and said to them,“ If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his own father, mother, wife, children, brothers, sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be My disciple.Whoever does not carry his own cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple.

Where is the wise person? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has God not made foolish the wisdom of the world?

So this Ezra went up from Babylon, and he was a scribe skilled in the Law of Moses, which the Lord God of Israel had given; and the king granted him all he requested because the hand of the Lord his God was upon him.
