日落的時候，眾人把患有各種疾病的人都帶到耶穌那裡。他按手在他們每一個人身上，使他們痊癒。

耶穌下了船，看見一大群人，就對他們動了憐憫之心，使其中的病人痊癒。

那時，一個有鬼魔附身、又瞎又啞的人被帶到耶穌那裡。耶穌使他痊癒，那啞巴就能說話，也能看見了。

人們甚至把病人抬到大街上來，放在床榻上或墊子上，為要在彼得走過來的時候，至少他的影子可以落在一些人身上。

這是因為耶穌對他說：「你出來，汙靈！離開這個人！」

到了傍晚，日落的時候，人們帶著所有患病的、有鬼魔附身的，到耶穌那裡去。全城的人都聚集在門前。耶穌就使許多患有各種疾病的人痊癒，又驅趕了很多鬼魔。他不准鬼魔說話，因為那些鬼魔知道他是誰。

可是有一些四處遊歷的猶太驅魔師，向那些有邪靈附身的人，擅自稱呼主耶穌的名，說：「我藉著保羅所傳的耶穌，吩咐你們出來。」有一個名叫斯克瓦的猶太祭司長，他的七個兒子都在做這種事。邪靈回答他們，說：「耶穌我認識，保羅我也知道！但你們呢？你們是誰？」有邪靈附身的那個人就跳到他們身上，壓制了所有的人，勝過了他們，以致他們赤著身帶著傷，從那房子逃了出去。

耶穌走遍全加利利，在他們的會堂裡教導人，傳天國的福音，並且使民中各樣的疾病和各樣的症狀痊癒。他的消息就在全敘利亞省傳開了。人們把所有的病人，就是患各種疾病的、受疼痛折磨的、有鬼魔附身的、癲癇的、癱瘓的，都帶到耶穌那裡。耶穌就使他們痊癒。

這時候，一些人帶了一個癱瘓的人來到耶穌那裡，是被四個人抬來的；

這時候，有幾個人把一個躺在床榻上癱瘓的人抬到他面前。耶穌看見他們的信心，就對癱瘓的人說：「孩子，鼓起勇氣吧！你的罪孽被赦免了。」

耶穌斥責汙靈說：「住口！從這個人裡面出來！」汙靈使那個人抽瘋，然後大聲喊叫著從他裡面出來了。結果大家都驚訝不已，彼此談論說：「這是怎麼回事？！一個帶有權柄的新的教導！他命令汙靈，汙靈就都聽從他！」

那些放豬的人就逃跑，進城去傳報了這一切事，包括鬼魔附身之人的事。

耶穌看見眾人都跑上來，就斥責那汙靈，說：「你這聾啞的邪靈，我命令你：從他裡面出來，不可再進去！」
