忍受試煉的人是蒙福的；因為他經過考驗以後，就要得到生命的冠冕，就是主應許給那些愛他之人的。

好讓你們的信仰經過考驗，就比那被火煉過仍然會朽壞的金子更加寶貴，能在耶穌基督顯現的時候，被看為是可以得著稱讚、榮耀和尊貴的。

依靠耶和華的人，就像錫安山，不致動搖，永遠屹立。群山怎樣環繞耶路撒冷，耶和華也怎樣環繞他的子民，從今直到永遠！

你們藉著信，在神的大能中蒙保守，以至於那預備好要在末世顯現的救恩。

照著你們所受的教導，在他裡面得以扎根、建造，在信仰上得以確立，在感謝中豐足有餘。

每個人的工程將來要顯露，因為那日子要把它顯明；原來它要被火顯現出來，這火要考驗每個人的工程是怎樣的。如果有人在那根基上面所建造的工程能存留得住，這個人就將得到報償；如果有人的工程被燒掉，他就將受到損失，而他自己卻將得救，但是會像從火裡經過的那樣。

堅固門徒們的心，鼓勵他們持守信仰，說：「我們進入神的國，必須經過很多患難。」

他們被栽種在耶和華的殿中，在我們神的院宇中茂盛。他們在年老時仍然結果實，他們豐美並且青翠，以此宣告耶和華是正直的；他是我的磐石，在他沒有不義。

他必安坐像熬煉、潔淨銀子之人，潔淨利未的子孫，精煉他們像精煉金銀那樣；他們就必藉著公義向耶和華獻供物。

我還告訴你：你是彼得，我要在這磐石上建立我的教會，陰間的門不能勝過它。

使基督藉著你們的信仰，住在你們心裡；使你們在愛中扎根，根基穩固，
