So Cornelius said,“ Four days ago I was fasting until this hour; and at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing,

that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly.

Nathanael said to Him,“ How do You know me?” Jesus answered and said to him,“ Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.”
