故我語汝、勿慮生何以食、何以飲、身何以衣、夫生非大於食、身非大於衣乎、

Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

“ Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink, or about your body, what you will wear. Isn’t there more to life than food and more to the body than clothing?

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. (niv)

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. (niv)

So do not worry, saying,‘ What shall we eat?’ or‘ What shall we drink?’ or‘ What shall we wear?’ (niv)

Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?“ And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. (niv)

He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all— how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? (niv)

Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken. (niv)

But when they arrest you, do not worry about what to say or how to say it. At that time you will be given what to say, (niv)

I would like you to be free from concern. An unmarried man is concerned about the Lord’s affairs— how he can please the Lord. (niv)

but the worries of this life, the deceitfulness of wealth and the desires for other things come in and choke the word, making it unfruitful. (niv)

The seed that fell among thorns stands for those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by life’s worries, riches and pleasures, and they do not mature. (niv)

No one serving as a soldier gets entangled in civilian affairs, but rather tries to please his commanding officer. (niv)

The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful. (niv)

“ I tell you, whoever publicly acknowledges me before others, the Son of Man will also acknowledge before the angels of God.But whoever disowns me before others will be disowned before the angels of God. (niv)

But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked,“ Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!”“ Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered,“ you are worried and upset about many things, (niv)

Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said,“ Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”So we say with confidence,“ The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?” (niv)

But I tell you that anyone who is angry with a brother or sister will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to a brother or sister,‘ Raca,’ is answerable to the court. And anyone who says,‘ You fool!’ will be in danger of the fire of hell.“ Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother or sister has something against you,leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift.“ Settle matters quickly with your adversary who is taking you to court. Do it while you are still together on the way, or your adversary may hand you over to the judge, and the judge may hand you over to the officer, and you may be thrown into prison.Truly I tell you, you will not get out until you have paid the last penny.“ You have heard that it was said,‘ You shall not commit adultery.’But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
