They* went into Capernaum; and immediately on the Sabbath Jesus entered the synagogue and began to teach.

Who pardons all your guilt, Who heals all your diseases;

And He answered and said to them,“ Go and report to John what you have seen and heard: people who were blind receive sight, people who limped walk, people with leprosy are cleansed and people who were deaf hear, dead people are raised up, and people who are poor have the gospel preached to them.

for He had healed many, with the result that all those who had diseases pushed in around Him in order to touch Him.

And when the Sabbath came, He began to teach in the synagogue; and the many listeners were astonished, saying,“ Where did this man learn these things, and what is this wisdom that has been given to Him, and such miracles as these performed by His hands?

to such an extent that they even carried the sick out into the streets and laid them on cots and pallets, so that when Peter came by at least his shadow might fall on any of them.The people from the cities in the vicinity of Jerusalem were coming together as well, bringing people who were sick or tormented with unclean spirits, and they were all being healed.

Soon afterward, Jesus began going around from one city and village to another, proclaiming and preaching the kingdom of God. The twelve were with Him,

This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.

Departing from there, He went into their synagogue.

Now when evening came, they brought to Him many who were demon possessed; and He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were ill.This happened so that what was spoken through Isaiah the prophet would be fulfilled:“ He Himself took our illnesses and carried away our diseases.”

And He began teaching in their synagogues and was praised by all.And He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up; and as was His custom, He entered the synagogue on the Sabbath, and stood up to read.And the scroll of Isaiah the prophet was handed to Him. And He unrolled the scroll and found the place where it was written:“ The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He anointed Me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim release to captives, And recovery of sight to the blind, To set free those who are oppressed,

Now when evening came, after the sun had set, they began bringing to Him all who were ill and those who were demon possessed.And the whole city had gathered at the door.And He healed many who were ill with various diseases, and cast out many demons; and He would not permit the demons to speak, because they knew who He was.

But how are they to preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written:“ How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news of good things!”

Jesus answered him,“ I have spoken openly to the world; I always taught in synagogues and in the temple area, where all the Jews congregate; and I said nothing in secret.

Now after John was taken into custody, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of God,

And He was amazed at their unbelief. And He was going around the villages, teaching.

And large crowds came to Him bringing with them those who were limping, had impaired limbs, were blind, or were unable to speak, and many others, and they laid them down at His feet; and He healed them.So the crowd was astonished as they saw those who were unable to speak talking, those with impaired limbs restored, those who were limping walking around, and those who were blind seeing; and they glorified the God of Israel.

But He said to them,“ I must also preach the kingdom of God to the other cities, because I was sent for this purpose.”So He kept on preaching in the synagogues of Judea.

They said in their heart,“ Let’s completely subdue them.” They have burned all the meeting places of God in the land.

But Ananias answered,“ Lord, I have heard from many people about this man, how much harm he did to Your saints in Jerusalem;and here he has authority from the chief priests to arrest all who call on Your name.”But the Lord said to him,“ Go, for he is a chosen instrument of Mine, to bear My name before the Gentiles and kings and the sons of Israel;for I will show him how much he must suffer in behalf of My name.”So Ananias departed and entered the house, and after laying his hands on him said,“ Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road by which you were coming, has sent me so that you may regain your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.”And immediately something like fish scales fell from his eyes, and he regained his sight, and he got up and was baptized;and he took food and was strengthened. Now for several days he was with the disciples who were in Damascus,and immediately he began to proclaim Jesus in the synagogues, saying,“ He is the Son of God.”All those hearing him continued to be amazed, and were saying,“ Is this not the one who in Jerusalem destroyed those who called on this name, and had come here for the purpose of bringing them bound before the chief priests?”But Saul kept increasing in strength and confounding Jews who lived in Damascus by proving that this Jesus is the Christ.When many days had elapsed, the Jews plotted together to do away with him,but their plot became known to Saul. They were also closely watching the gates day and night so that they might put him to death;but his disciples took him at night and let him down through an opening in the wall, lowering him in a large basket.When he came to Jerusalem, he tried repeatedly to associate with the disciples; and yet they were all afraid of him, as they did not believe that he was a disciple.But Barnabas took hold of him and brought him to the apostles and described to them how he had seen the Lord on the road, and that He had talked to him, and how he had spoken out boldly in the name of Jesus at Damascus.And he was with them, moving about freely in Jerusalem, speaking out boldly in the name of the Lord.And he was talking and arguing with the Hellenistic Jews; but they were attempting to put him to death.Now when the brothers learned of it, they brought him down to Caesarea and sent him away to Tarsus.So the church throughout Judea, Galilee, and Samaria enjoyed peace, as it was being built up; and as it continued in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, it kept increasing.Now as Peter was traveling through all those regions, he also came down to the saints who lived at Lydda.There he found a man named Aeneas who had been bedridden for eight years, because he was paralyzed.Peter said to him,“ Aeneas, Jesus Christ heals you; get up and make your own bed.” Immediately he got up.And all who lived at Lydda and Sharon saw him, and they turned to the Lord.Now in Joppa there was a disciple named Tabitha( which when translated means Dorcas); this woman was excelling in acts of kindness and charity which she did habitually.But it happened at that time that she became sick and died; and when they had washed her body, they laid it in an upstairs room.Since Lydda was near Joppa, the disciples, having heard that Peter was there, sent two men to him, urging him,“ Do not delay in coming to us.”So Peter got ready and went with them. When he arrived, they brought him into the room upstairs; and all the widows stood beside him, weeping and showing all the tunics and garments that Dorcas used to make while she was with them.But Peter sent them all out and knelt down and prayed, and turning to the body, he said,“ Tabitha, arise.” And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter, she sat up.And he gave her his hand and raised her up; and calling the saints and widows, he presented her alive.It became known all over Joppa, and many believed in the Lord.And Peter stayed in Joppa many days with a tanner named Simon.

Now Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath.

One day He was teaching, and there were some Pharisees and teachers of the Law sitting there who had come from every village of Galilee and Judea, and from Jerusalem; and the power of the Lord was present for Him to perform healing.

When anyone hears the word of the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what has been sown in his heart. This is the one sown with seed beside the road.

These things He said in the synagogue as He taught in Capernaum.

And as you go, preach, saying,‘ The kingdom of heaven has come near.’Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those with leprosy, cast out demons. Freely you received, freely give.

“ And now behold, I know that all of you, among whom I went about preaching the kingdom, will no longer see my face.

But the crowds were aware of this and followed Him; and He welcomed them and began speaking to them about the kingdom of God, and curing those who had need of healing.

And then Jesus came down with them and stood on a level place; and there was a large crowd of His disciples, and a great multitude of the people from all Judea and Jerusalem, and the coastal region of Tyre and Sidon,

Now while the sun was setting, all those who had any who were sick with various diseases brought them to Him; and He was laying His hands on each one of them and healing them.Demons also were coming out of many, shouting,“ You are the Son of God!” And yet He was rebuking them and would not allow them to speak, because they knew that He was the Christ.

And Paul was reasoning in the synagogue every Sabbath and trying to persuade Jews and Greeks.

On one of the days while He was teaching the people in the temple and preaching the gospel, the chief priests and the scribes with the elders confronted Him,

When He came ashore, He saw a large crowd, and felt compassion for them and healed their sick.

After these things Jesus was walking in Galilee, for He was unwilling to walk in Judea because the Jews were seeking to kill Him.

and heal those in it who are sick, and say to them,‘ The kingdom of God has come near to you.’

“ Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
