Then Jesus said to them,“ Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee. They will see me there.”

Then Jesus said to them,“ Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me.”

because those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.

Jesus replied,“ Do not touch me, for I have not yet ascended to my Father. Go to my brothers and tell them,‘ I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”

Then go quickly and tell his disciples,‘ He has been raised from the dead. He is going ahead of you into Galilee. You will see him there.’ Listen, I have told you!”

But immediately Jesus spoke to them:“ Have courage! It is I. Do not be afraid.”

But the angel said to the women,“ Do not be afraid; I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified.

He answered them and said,“ Who are my mother and my brothers?”And looking at those who were sitting around him in a circle, he said,“ Here are my mother and my brothers!For whoever does the will of God is my brother and sister and mother.”

But he said to them,“ It is I. Do not be afraid.”

While they were saying these things, Jesus himself stood among them and said to them,“ Peace be with you.”But they were startled and terrified, thinking they saw a ghost.Then he said to them,“ Why are you frightened, and why do doubts arise in your hearts?

Then he will answer them,‘ I tell you the truth, just as you did not do it for one of the least of these, you did not do it for me.’

And the king will answer them,‘ I tell you the truth, just as you did it for one of the least of these brothers or sisters of mine, you did it for me.’

For indeed he who makes holy and those being made holy all have the same origin, and so he is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters,saying,“ I will proclaim your name to my brothers; in the midst of the assembly I will praise you.”Again he says,“ I will be confident in him,” and again,“ Here I am, with the children God has given me.”Therefore, since the children share in flesh and blood, he likewise shared in their humanity, so that through death he could destroy the one who holds the power of death( that is, the devil),and set free those who were held in slavery all their lives by their fear of death.For surely his concern is not for angels, but he is concerned for Abraham’s descendants.Therefore he had to be made like his brothers and sisters in every respect, so that he could become a merciful and faithful high priest in things relating to God, to make atonement for the sins of the people.For since he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are tempted.

To the one who had said this, Jesus replied,“ Who is my mother and who are my brothers?”And pointing toward his disciples he said,“ Here are my mother and my brothers!For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.”

But go, tell his disciples, even Peter, that he is going ahead of you into Galilee. You will see him there, just as he told you.”

The LORD is compassionate and merciful; he is patient and demonstrates great loyal love.He does not always accuse, and does not stay angry.He does not deal with us as our sins deserve; he does not repay us as our misdeeds deserve.For as the skies are high above the earth, so his loyal love towers over his faithful followers.As far as the eastern horizon is from the west, so he removes the guilt of our rebellious actions from us.As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on his faithful followers.

They threw away the foreign gods they owned and worshiped the LORD. Finally the LORD grew tired of seeing Israel suffer so much.
