Then Jesus* said to them,“ Do not be afraid; go, bring word to My brothers to leave for Galilee, and there they will see Me.”

Then Jesus said to them,“ Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me.”

For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters;

Jesus* said to her,“ Stop clinging to Me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to My brothers and say to them,‘ I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and My God and your God.’ ”

And go quickly and tell His disciples that He has risen from the dead; and behold, He is going ahead of you to Galilee. There you will see Him; behold, I have told you.”

But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying,“ Take courage, it is I; do not be afraid.”

And the angel said to the women,“ Do not be afraid; for I know that you are looking for Jesus who has been crucified.

Answering them, He* said,“ Who are My mother and My brothers?”And looking around at those who were sitting around Him, He* said,“ Here are My mother and My brothers!For whoever does the will of God, this is My brother, and sister, and mother.”

But He* said to them,“ It is I; do not be afraid.”

Now while they were telling these things, Jesus Himself suddenly stood in their midst and* said to them,“ Peace be to you.”But they were startled and frightened, and thought that they were looking at a spirit.And He said to them,“ Why are you frightened, and why are doubts arising in your hearts?

Then He will answer them,‘ Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did not do it for one of the least of these, you did not do it for Me, either.’

And the King will answer and say to them,‘ Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it for one of the least of these brothers or sisters of Mine, you did it for Me.’

For both He who sanctifies and those who are sanctified are all from one Father; for this reason He is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters,saying,“ I will proclaim Your name to My brothers, In the midst of the assembly I will sing Your praise.”And again,“ I will put My trust in Him.” And again,“ Behold, I and the children whom God has given Me.”Therefore, since the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same, so that through death He might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil,and free those who through fear of death were subject to slavery all their lives.For clearly He does not give help to angels, but He gives help to the descendants of Abraham.Therefore, in all things He had to be made like His brothers so that He might become a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people.For since He Himself was tempted in that which He has suffered, He is able to come to the aid of those who are tempted.

But Jesus replied to the one who was telling Him and said,“ Who is My mother, and who are My brothers?”And extending His hand toward His disciples, He said,“ Behold: My mother and My brothers!For whoever does the will of My Father who is in heaven, he is My brother, and sister, and mother.”

But go, tell His disciples and Peter,‘ He is going ahead of you to Galilee; there you will see Him, just as He told you.’ ”

The Lord is compassionate and gracious, Slow to anger and abounding in mercy.He will not always contend with us, Nor will He keep His anger forever.He has not dealt with us according to our sins, Nor rewarded us according to our guilty deeds.For as high as the heavens are above the earth, So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him.As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our wrongdoings from us.Just as a father has compassion on his children, So the Lord has compassion on those who fear Him.

So they removed the foreign gods from among them and served the Lord; and He could no longer endure the misery of Israel.
