彼得在下院、祭司長一婢至、見彼得向火、目之曰、爾亦偕拿撒勒耶穌也、彼得不承曰、我弗知也、不識爾云何、遂出、至院門而鷄鳴矣、婢復見之、語旁立者曰、彼亦其黨、彼得又不承、頃之、旁立者語彼得曰、爾誠其黨、爾乃加利利人、方言亦合、彼得詛且誓曰、爾所言之人、我不識也、鷄復鳴彼得憶耶穌言、鷄二鳴之先、爾將三言不識我、思之、則哭矣、

入穴而居、耶和華問之曰、以利亞在此何為。

祭司諸長、士子、民之長老、集於祭司長該亞法院、

彼得遠隨耶穌、至祭司長院、入與吏坐、欲觀其竟、

拿但業曰、拿撒勒能生善人乎、腓力曰、來觀、

曰、爾亦來自加利利乎、可考而知、無先知由加利利起也、

厥後、登籍時、又有加利利猶大起、大惑眾、彼亦亡、從者散矣、

有曰、基督、有曰、基督豈出自加利利乎、

彼得立於門外、祭司長所識之徒出、告女司門、自引彼得入、女司門語彼得曰、爾亦斯人之徒歟、曰非也、僕與吏因寒熾炭、立而向火、彼得同立向之、○

院中有人、燃火同坐、彼得與焉、有婢見彼得坐向火、注目視之曰、此人亦偕耶穌、彼得不承、謂婢曰、我不識之、有頃、又一人見之曰、爾亦其黨、彼得曰、非也、片時、復一人力言曰、此人實偕之、蓋加利利人也、彼得曰、爾所言、我不識也、言時、雞嗚矣、主顧彼得、彼得憶主言、鷄鳴之先、將三言不識我、遂出痛哭云、○

惟義士羅得以黨惡邪僻為深憂、故上帝救之、蓋義者與彼同處、見其敗亂矩矱、無日不憂、惟主救敬虔之人、免於患難、而留不義者、待鞫日受刑、

聞亞基老於猶太、繼父希律為王、懼不敢往、但夢中得默示、故歸加利利境、至一邑、名拿撒勒、居之、應諸先知言云、人將呼之為拿撒勒人矣、

時、西門彼得立向火、或語之曰、爾亦此人之徒歟、彼不承曰、非也、有祭司長僕、即為彼得削右耳者之戚、曰、我不於園中、見爾與彼乎、彼得又不承、鷄即鳴矣、

惡者之謀兮弗從、罪人之途兮弗蹤、侮慢之位不居兮、福祉來降。
