So Judas went to Jesus at once. He said,“ Greetings, Rabbi!” And he kissed him.

Going at once to Jesus, Judas said,“ Greetings, Rabbi!” and kissed him.

So Judas came straight to Jesus.“ Greetings, Rabbi!” he exclaimed and gave him the kiss.

Judas was the one who was going to hand him over. He said,“ Surely you don’t mean me, Teacher, do you?” Jesus answered,“ You have said so.”

So Judas went to Jesus at once. Judas said,“ Rabbi!” And he kissed Jesus.The men grabbed Jesus and arrested him.

Greet all God’s people with a holy kiss.

Then Samuel took a bottle of olive oil. He poured it on Saul’s head and kissed him. He said,“ The Lord has anointed you to be the king of his people.

Then they fell on their knees in front of him and made fun of him.“ We honor you, king of the Jews!” they said.They spit on him. They hit him on the head with the stick again and again.

Joab said to Amasa,“ How are you, my friend?” Then Joab reached out his right hand. He took hold of Amasa’s beard to kiss him.

They began to call out to him,“ We honor you, king of the Jews!”

They went up to him again and again. They kept saying,“ We honor you, king of the Jews!” And they slapped him in the face.

Wounds from a friend can be trusted. But an enemy kisses you many times.
