復曰：『依諸經所載、基督固當受難、第三日自死者中復活、

然予托天主佑、至今猶屹立無恙、向天下生靈、無分貴賤大小、而作證焉。所陳者莫非古先知與摩西預言必成之事、即基督必遇害、且自死中復活。而真光之布於兆民萬邦、實以基督為始。』

哀哉斯世、以其梗障之多也。梗障之生、在所不免、而甘為梗障之緣者、哀莫大焉。

顧吾所授於爾者、固有所受也。基督確為吾人之罪而死、一如古經之所預言也；

人子固須長逝、如經所言：然而鬻人子者、哀莫大焉！嗚呼！斯人之有生、不如無生之為愈也！』

如是則經所載必經之事、又將安從而應驗耶？』

當予與若輩俱時、予以父名義守護父所賜予之眾、一無所失、而所失者、惟淪喪之子；此亦所以應驗經言耳。

人子之長逝、固由前定、然而鬻予者禍矣。』

答曰：『伊理靄固需先來振興萬事、然經不亦言人子應如何備嘗苦辱乎？

然此亦所以應驗先知所紀耳。』至是、門徒盡離耶穌、奔逃四散矣。

是處有猶太人之會堂、葆樂依然進而就之、歷三禮日與眾辯析經義、啟迪闡發、以徵基督當先蒙害、後當復活；又曰：『所傳耶穌、即基督也。』

耶穌謂之曰：『愚人哉！何爾心之冥頑、而不信歷來先知之所言乎？基督不當先受苦難、而躋於光榮乎？』於是始自摩西以至歷代先知、凡經中之有關於己者、悉為詳釋。

未幾耶穌知諸事已成、為應經言、故曰：『予渴！』

是即歷來先知所潛心探索而預言者、爾等則親沾其澤矣。蓋基督神靈、啟迪先知之衷、故彼等能逆知基督之先苦後樂、與夫其事之成於何時何世。

一切委主手。必釋爾重負。善人為主棄。從來未曾有。

『兄弟乎！聖神假大維之口、預言茹達斯引捕耶穌、此經已見應驗；彼本與吾儕同列、共任職司；此人以不義所獲、購置一田、嗣身仆腹裂、臟腑迸出。耶路撒冷居民未有不悉其事者、乃以方言名其田曰亞革大馬、意即「血田」。聖詠云：「願其居室之成墟兮、闃其無人！」又曰：「願其所司之職兮、他人是承。」

而耶路撒冷居民及其教長不識基督、每禮日所誦先知書訓、亦未領悟；遽定基督之罪、恰應先知之豫言、雖明知其無可死之由、而竟求比辣多處之以死。迨豫指耶穌之言、悉見應驗、乃自木取下、葬之墓塋、

願彼昧良者。自身遇健敵。黃雀逐螳螂。循環相磨折。願彼受判時。獲其所應得。願彼虛偽禱。轉增其罪責。願彼遭夭伐。他人繼其職。子女為孤兒。嫠婦歎空室。兒孫作流氓。行乞於異域。家業被拼吞。外人食汗血。生前無人憐。死後不見恤。世系即見斬。姓名被塗抹。願其父母罪。常為主所憶。沒世而無聞。影蹤歸沉寂。平生懷刻薄。好乘人之急。欺壓傷心人。窮民供殘殺。彼既愛呪詛。呪詛應蝟集。彼既惡祝福。百福應遠逸。自以詛為服。斯服何由脫。如水亦如油。浸心復沁骨。衣帶重重束。誰能解其結。

彼等既與葆樂約期、即有多人來其寓所、葆樂自朝至暮向彼等證明天國之道、關於耶穌之事、引徵摩西之律與先知書、以詳說之。

彼按天主之定謨及預知、被付於人而爾曹復假不義者之手、釘死之於十字架上；

以奉行爾所手訂之聖謨者也。

斯時、鬻主之茹答斯、見耶穌死案既決、悔之；乃以銀三十兩、返之司祭長及耆老曰：『予賣無辜之血、獲罪實深。』若輩對曰：『此爾之事、與我何涉？』茹答斯乃投銀殿中而退、出而自縊死。

兵士乃相與曰：『毋裂、且拈鬮以觀孰得。』經云：『分我外服、鬮我內衣。』

今爾非異人。夙與我親比。彼此稱莫逆。相與共密議。攜手入聖所。對主表心志。

經云：『毋折其骨。』又云：『眾將瞻仰其所刺之身。』至是乃悉見應驗矣。
