「到了半夜，忽然聽見有人喊道，『新郎來了！出來迎接吧！』

半夜，有人喊叫：‘新郎來了，快出來迎接他。’

半夜裏有嚷叫的聲音說：「看哪，新郎來了！出來迎接他哦！」

「半夜裡，有人喧嚷：『看哪，是新郎！你們出來迎接他！』

中夜有呼曰、新娶者至矣、爾出迎之、

中夜呼云、新娶者至矣、出迎之、

中夜有呼云、新娶者至矣、爾出迎之、

子夜忽有聲呼曰：「新壻來矣其出迎之！」

“ At midnight the cry rang out:‘ Here’s the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’

“ At midnight someone cried out,‘ Here’s the groom! Come out to meet him!’

But at midnight there was a cry,‘ Here is the bridegroom! Come out to meet him.’

“ At midnight they were roused by the shout,‘ Look, the bridegroom is coming! Come out and meet him!’

But at midnight there finally was a shout:‘ Behold, the groom! Come out to meet him.’

“ And at midnight a cry was heard:‘ Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!’

But at midnight there is a cry, Behold, the bridegroom! Come ye forth to meet him.

“ In the middle of the night there was a shout:‘ Here’s the groom! Come out to meet him.’

And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.

But at midnight there was a shout,‘ Look, the bridegroom is here! Come out to meet him.’

But at midnight there was a cry,‘ Behold! The bridegroom is coming! Come out to meet him!’

“ See, I am going to send my messenger, and he will clear the way before me. Then the Lord you seek will suddenly come to his temple, the Messenger of the covenant you delight in— see, he is coming,” says the LORD of Armies.But who can endure the day of his coming? And who will be able to stand when he appears? For he will be like a refiner’s fire and like launderer’s bleach.

“ At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the groom.

This is why you are also to be ready, because the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.

He will send out his angels with a loud trumpet, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other.

On that day it will be said,“ Look, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he has saved us. This is the LORD; we have waited for him. Let’s rejoice and be glad in his salvation.”

Do not be amazed at this, because a time is coming when all who are in the graves will hear his voiceand come out— those who have done good things, to the resurrection of life, but those who have done wicked things, to the resurrection of condemnation.

“ When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne.

before the LORD, for he is coming to judge the earth. He will judge the world righteously and the peoples fairly.

that servant’s master will come on a day he does not expect him and at an hour he does not know. He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the unfaithful.

It was about these that Enoch, in the seventh generation from Adam, prophesied:“ Look! The Lord comes with tens of thousands of his holy onesto execute judgment on all and to convict all the ungodly concerning all the ungodly acts that they have done in an ungodly way, and concerning all the harsh things ungodly sinners have said against him.”

“ Look, I am coming like a thief. Blessed is the one who is alert and remains clothed so that he may not go around naked and people see his shame.”

“ Watch! Be alert! For you don’t know when the time is coming.“ It is like a man on a journey, who left his house, gave authority to his servants, gave each one his work, and commanded the doorkeeper to be alert.Therefore be alert, since you don’t know when the master of the house is coming— whether in the evening or at midnight or at the crowing of the rooster or early in the morning.Otherwise, when he comes suddenly he might find you sleeping.And what I say to you, I say to everyone: Be alert!”

“ But God said to him,‘ You fool! This very night your life is demanded of you. And the things you have prepared— whose will they be?’

Our God is coming; he will not be silent! Devouring fire precedes him, and a storm rages around him.On high, he summons heaven and earth in order to judge his people:“ Gather my faithful ones to me, those who made a covenant with me by sacrifice.”The heavens proclaim his righteousness, for God is the Judge. But the day of the Lord will come like a thief; on that day the heavens will pass away with a loud noise, the elements will burn and be dissolved, and the earth and the works on it will be disclosed.

and to give relief to you who are afflicted, along with us. This will take place at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with his powerful angels,when he takes vengeance with flaming fire on those who don’t know God and on those who don’t obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.They will pay the penalty of eternal destruction from the Lord’s presence and from his glorious strengthon that day when he comes to be glorified by his saints and to be marveled at by all those who have believed, because our testimony among you was believed.

If he comes in the middle of the night, or even near dawn, and finds them alert, blessed are those servants.But know this: If the homeowner had known at what hour the thief was coming, he would not have let his house be broken into.You also be ready, because the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.”

Let us be glad, rejoice, and give him glory, because the marriage of the Lamb has come, and his bride has prepared herself.She was given fine linen to wear, bright and pure. For the fine linen represents the righteous acts of the saints.Then he said to me,“ Write: Blessed are those invited to the marriage feast of the Lamb!” He also said to me,“ These words of God are true.”

About the times and the seasons: Brothers and sisters, you do not need anything to be written to you.For you yourselves know very well that the day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night.When they say,“ Peace and security,” then sudden destruction will come upon them, like labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.

For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the archangel’s voice, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.

Therefore, Israel, that is what I will do to you, and since I will do that to you, Israel, prepare to meet your God!
