今爾何人、竟敢指摘爾之兄弟耶！爾果何人、乃敢藐視爾之兄弟耶！豈不知吾人皆須立於天主臺前、而聽其審判乎。經有之：『主曰、吾憑己之常生而誓、血氣之倫、皆當向我屈膝；含生之屬、皆當向我投誠。』是知每人終須向天主述職也。

吾又見已亡者、無大無小、肅立座前、案卷悉展、另有一卷亦展、即生命冊也。亡者皆各按其卷中所載之行實而處分焉。是時淵海將所溺者紛紛交出、陰府及窅冥亦將所有死者交出；各按其行實而受判焉。陰府及窅冥、均被擲於火池之中。火池者、即二次之死亡是已；凡不見錄於生命冊者、皆投入火池。
