耶稣对他们说：“父凭着自己的权柄所定的时候、日期，不是你们可以知道的。

耶稣和门徒将近耶路撒冷，到了伯法其，在橄榄山那里。

如果这样，他从创世以来，就必多次受苦了。但如今在这末世显现一次，把自己献为祭，好除掉罪。

有一个问那站在河水以上、穿细麻衣的说：“这奇异的事到几时才应验呢？”我听见那站在河水以上、穿细麻衣的，向天举起左右手，指着活到永远的主起誓说：“要到一载、二载、半载，打破圣民权力的时候，这一切事就都应验了。”我听见这话，却不明白，就说：“我主啊，这些事的结局是怎样呢？”

家主若知道几更天有贼来，就必警醒，不容人挖透房屋；这是你们所知道的。

挪亚的日子怎样，人子降临也要怎样。

撒稗子的仇敌就是魔鬼；收割的时候就是世界的末了；收割的人就是天使。将稗子薅出来用火焚烧，世界的末了也要如此。

“你们可以从无花果树学个比方：当树枝发嫩长叶的时候，你们就知道夏天近了。这样，你们看见这一切的事，也该知道人子近了，正在门口了。

闪电从东边发出，直照到西边。人子降临也要这样。

世界的末了也要这样。天使要出来，从义人中把恶人分别出来，

弟兄们，论到时候、日期，不用写信给你们，因为你们自己明明晓得，主的日子来到，好像夜间的贼一样。人正说“平安稳妥”的时候，灾祸忽然临到他们，如同产难临到怀胎的妇人一样，他们绝不能逃脱。弟兄们，你们却不在黑暗里，叫那日子临到你们像贼一样。你们都是光明之子，都是白昼之子。我们不是属黑夜的，也不是属幽暗的。所以，我们不要睡觉像别人一样，总要警醒谨守。因为睡了的人是在夜间睡，醉了的人是在夜间醉。但我们既然属乎白昼，就应当谨守，把信和爱当作护心镜遮胸，把得救的盼望当作头盔戴上。因为神不是预定我们受刑，乃是预定我们藉着我们主耶稣基督得救。他替我们死，叫我们无论醒着，睡着，都与他同活。所以，你们该彼此劝慰，互相建立，正如你们素常所行的。

凡我所吩咐你们的，都教训他们遵守，我就常与你们同在，直到世界的末了。”

彼得看见他，就问耶稣说：“主啊，这人将来如何？”耶稣对他说：“我若要他等到我来的时候，与你何干？你跟从我吧！”

他们问他说：“夫子！什么时候有这事呢？这事将到的时候有什么预兆呢？”

门徒暗暗地到耶稣跟前，说：“我们为什么不能赶出那鬼呢？”

不知不觉洪水来了，把他们全都冲去。人子降临也要这样。

当下，耶稣离开众人，进了房子。他的门徒进前来，说：“请把田间稗子的比喻讲给我们听。”

当时，门徒进前来对他说：“法利赛人听见这话，不服，你知道吗？”

门徒进前来，问耶稣说：“对众人讲话，为什么用比喻呢？”耶稣回答说：“因为天国的奥秘只叫你们知道，不叫他们知道。
